Title: Virtual Console Mondays Preview
Post by: Svevan on December 16, 2006, 06:56:06 AM
As per usual, Hudson is ready to spill the beans before anyone else: Military Madness is coming to Virtual Console.

Hudson's website has updated to include a Virtual Console title only announced previously for European markets. Typically, Hudson's updates indicate that the new title will be released on VC the following Monday, so expect Military Madness for the Turbo-Grafx 16 to be available for download in just two short days.

Hudson's classic strategy gameplay is compared to Advance Wars and Heroes of Might and Magic on the official site. The game's turn-based battalion wars will offer a new genre to the ever-widening Virtual Console lineup.

For more information on Military Madness, visit the game's page at Hudson's official site.

As previously  reported, also expect Space Harrier II for Sega Genesis on Monday.

When I get a Wii this will be the first game I download.  I remember playing it at the dorms way back in the day and it was awesome.

I didn't know that this game existed.  I really like the style of writing htat they used and I might actually consider getting this game.

WTF Nintendo!  OK, I don't particularly care for hudsons or segas release this week, but at least they are trying.  WHAT IS WITH ALL THESES HORRIBLE SPORTS GAMES?!?!?!  At least put on a FUN baseball game like Super Baseball 2020 or Bases Loaded or anything with some character.   It would be really nice to see some more SNES or N64 releases.  The lack of Castlevania IV and Super Mario World are gnawing at me, I mean they already got them overseas!

Apparently you haven't been paying attention--Castlevania IV and Super Mario World aren't marketable in America.  First generation NES sports games on the other hand ....

I couldn't be more annoyed with Nintendo right now. VC really sold me on Wii with the glimmering idea that great games from the past would resurface. If they put out 1 decent game a month, Nintendo would STILL be around 300 great games short of a 5 year life-span. In other words, they have so many great games to utilize, harboring them now is utter madness. It makes NO business sense to keep these locked away.

And where is Capcom, Midway, EA, Square? They signed up for this deal, where are they?

Does anyone else think its fishy that only Hudson and Sega are putting out VC games right now?
