Title: Who wants 2000 FREE Wii Points?
Post by: BlackNMild2k1 on December 10, 2006, 08:48:37 AM
All you have to do is visit http://www.letsplaywii.com/promo and fill out the info, then sign up for a FREE 7 day trial to TRUE and they send you $20 worth of Wii points for FREE.

They basically walk you through signing up and then canceling your membership just to get the FREE points. You sign up today, then they send you an e-mail saying that it will take about three days b4 they can send your Wii points, and that you should wait just a few more days and then cancel our membership.

The only downside is that you have to give up Credit Card info, but it is several FREE VC games for me, should I ever get may hands on a Wii.

So lets see.  I give up my credit card info, and probably have extra junk e-mail for all eternity, so I can get 2000 wii points.  Also, I dont want to encourage true to put more adds here.  If I want to look at Smut, I dont come to NWR for it (Aside from UB's nipple that is).

Id rather just pay the 20 bucks to get a regular card.

go make a new yahoo/msn/g-mail account or something, and then after you cancel, you never have to look at that account again. Problem solved.

Do I want 2,000 free Wii points? Yes.
Am I going to give my personal information to a dating site to get it? Not a chance.

Actually, I would probably have to give the information of my mom/dad since I am under 18. Again, not a chance.

If there is one thing I Hate about NWR it's the adds.  Especially the true adds with the false advertising pictures.  Do those girls really need to find a date, and if they did, would it be on an online site of all things? ...

This offer would only be good for people who actually want to join those things.  Count me out..

The best way to view NintendoWorldReport is with Firefox and the Adblock or Adblock Plus plug-in. Removes the ads before they even get rendered into the html of the page. And the FlashBlock plug leave flash objects in the page html, but they aren't activated until you click on them. Guess what that means for those annoying overlay flash ads, they never activate so you're never bothered by them ever again.

Thanks for the update Dirk. I don't like registering a credit card for anything, but the 2000 points was temping none the less...

I canceled my TRUE, but they never sent me an e-mail saying they sent me my 2000 points, this is what I get for trying to get something for nothing*

I'm gonna call the website and ask them where my free points are. I'll let you know how it goes.

*except my cc info and address...

I tried it, cancelled True. They confirmed my address last week, but I've yet to here anything more from them. Doubt I'll get anything, but here's hoping (I cannot justify spending money on VC games - or any other games for that mattter - until Zelda is complete)

Well you have to give him credit for at least spending the effort to search the forums for a similar topic before trying to spam... right?
