Title: So do we know if Wii is capable of LAN play?
Post by: Dirk Temporo on November 27, 2006, 05:24:04 AM
I mean, I can't imagine why it wouldn't be. But you'd think if it was, they would have bothered to add this option into the multiplayer of some of the games. *COUGHREDSTEELEXCITETRUCKCOUGH*

I believe in Pale's impressions from Nintendo's Sept. 14th press event he asked if BWii was playing on LAN and the answer was "yes".
My guess is the games that aren't on LAN probably aren't because Nintendo has been keeping the networking info under wraps in general.
Edit: removed worthless guesswork on why Nintendo isn't offering this, changed online to "on LAN".

I don't think either of those have LAN play, at least Red Steel doesn't offer it, to my knowledge.
I'd hope that there'd be some indication on the back of the game if it supports online/LAN play...

You're correct. BWii was showing off multiplayer and there was a ethernet cable strung between the kiosks.
