Title: LOL - Circuit City's PS3 preorder "deal"
Post by: BlkPaladin on November 12, 2006, 05:19:18 PM
It was reported that at first Circuit City wasn't going to have a pre-order for the PS3 or the Wii but it seems that has changed. I had a good laugh when I was paging through the Milwaukee Journal Sentenal's many flyers. On the corner of the Circuit City's one there was a plain orange box that proclaimed that you could preorder a PS3 when you BOUGHT a 50" Sony HDTV. I remember people complaining when they "had to" buy extra Gameboy Advances to play Crystal Chronicles. That is nothing like going out about $4000.00 just to garentee you will have a PS3 at launch, and that doesn't include the games.
EDIT: I didn't check the prices for the TV I'm guess the TV is between $2000 and $4000 from the size of the TV required and the fact that it a Sony TV you have to buy. Also I considered putting it in the Sony getting hit hard but it really doens't fit Sony getting hit hard but the customer getting it.

But you have to realize you are getting SO MUCH for your money, and it is in fact a good deal.

I looked up the price online, the TV they had carried a Tag of $2000, so the final price tag would be $2600.00 and no games or accessories. I think someone is desprate to move TVs. (That is the cheepest Sony HDTV, a projection TV, if they require the LCD that is an extra $500 for that one.
