Title: Internet Connection...
Post by: UncleBob on November 04, 2006, 05:41:22 AM
Okay, I've got DSL coming in through my network card and I've got a dial up connection coming into my modem. Is there some way that I can set FireFox to only use the DSL connection and IE to only use the modem connection?

dunno why you'd want that, but....
in IE, Tools->Internet Options->Conections Tab->Add->Telephone Access->Configure it accordingly...
(the names might not be exact, as the IE I have is in spanish but it should be somewhat similar....)
how to do that in FF, I don't know (as I've always used FF with DSL anyways...)

I don't think that would work too well. Windows doesn't allow the usage of more than one internet source unless you have software specifically designed for it, at least, that's what I've learned through trial and error. If your DSL is cut, then it'll switch to your modem, but that's only if the modem currently has a connection to the internet. Make sense?
Btw, could you cahnge your icon, gosh, that's gross.
