Title: Why these banners?

I know PGC has to make money, but nothing about

"HE GOT A PSP"

"SHE GOT A PSP"

"HE GOT A PSP"

"LOL THEY GOT PSPs!"

is good for this website's interest. Nor is "KICK A FIELD GOAL A WIN A PS3". Just two more things we don't need to support, amirite?

Or amirite?

I rather have the ones this post was originally about rather then the dating services and like.  At least those are Videogame related and don't imply we're losers.

What I really hate are the ones for the smileys, and if you accidentally roll your mouse over it it screams out "OH MY GOD, NO WAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!" In the most annoying voice ever.  That really makes me want to buy the smiley, if I know its gonna make my ears bleed

At least I havent seen any that make noise without you having to scroll your mouse over first.

Edit: Get Firefox, I havent tried it myself, but everytime a thread like this shows up, someone always says to get firefox, so I thought I would go ahead and get it overwith.

How to you get rid of Banners in Firefox?  Because I have it and I see banners.  Also is there an Opera way?

Tools > Extensions > Get More Extensions.

Find and download AdBlock.  (AdBlock Plus also works, although I prefer the original).
