How accurate has been this job announcements when predicting a game for a platform really? besides this requirements are pretty vague, I dont see it as confirmation of anything.

Blizzard ported past games to systems and it really seems like a no brainer to port over warcraft 3 to wii because of the remote.

How can someone be an experienced Wii producer already?

Sort of like how can someone have 1+ more years of experience then a Language existed? Those sort of thing happen in this area.

I'm part of a very tiny minority of enthusiasts that despises Blizzard for ripping off basically every creative aspect of their most popular games from British wargaming pioneer Games Workshop. Realistically, though, Blizzard supporting the Wii sounds great for business...and I'm a very big fan of Rock n' Roll Racing...

Yeah, I think it was supposed to be released in 2002 and then got pushed back. They didn't even show it off again at E3. Guess they may have canned it or are revamping it for 360/PS3/Wii.

Actually, there was a sequel...Norse By Norsewest. I don't know why Future Shop once had a whole side-shelf dedicated to the PC version of it.
I played some of the Super NES version but for some reason didn't like it. I loved the original though, I've played that at least a few times, on Super NES AND PC. I don't know why.
And Rock 'N Roll Racing was awesome. I remember that both those games were developed way back when under the Silicon & Synapse name and published by Interplay. At what point did they become Blizzard?
I was playing some WarCraft III: Reign Of Chaos the other day. It reminded me that I do like certain RTSes. I don't like all that Age Of Empire stuff, or anything that seems too much like real history. At least with WarCraft it's more fantastical, yet for some reason I've avoided World Of WarCraft.
I wonder why StarCraft hasn't seen as much as WarCraft has. Other than StarCraft, there's just StarCraft 64 (which I'm guessing isn't that different or that great) and the likely-canned StarCraft Ghost. But you Blizzard fans knew that already.

it was canned for GC but not the other consoles as far as I know, the excuse was that it didn't have online. At least they can't use that excuse with the rev.

Ghost was effectively canceled for all systems earlier this year when it was "indefinitely postponed." I think that's a buzzword that means "this game will never see the light of day, but we're hoping to avoid the bad press for cancelling it by letting fanboys continue to believe there's a chance it will come out until it's completely forgotten." It's just as well. Nothing about the game's development inspired confidence.

I'm pretty sure Starcraft 64 is just a port of the PC game. Perhaps the reason Blizzard hasn't made a new Starcraft yet is that the game is still so popular they don't really have to. It's like a sport in Korea. Maybe they think Starcraft 2 will hurt Starcraft 1 sales and at this point in time there's no reason to put the original on the backburner.

And add to that, Blizzard just works reaaaaaal slow. And they're struggling to keep up with their WoW success. They're probably having more difficulties with success than they had with any failures.

You forgot Brood War. That was a really good expansion pack, if memory serves.
