Title: Need Help

My son and I are new to gamecube he is six and was playing madagascar I got him a memory card and asked him to turn off the game so I could install it and in the middle of the game with out quiting he turned off th cube. Now when we put the game or any game in it gives us a error message and will not start the game.

Well, your first mistake was buying Madagascar.
As for the error message, what kind of message is it? Does it even get past the system boot screen (saying there is no disc installed)? Are the discs themselves scratch and smudge free? And when did you buy the system? If it's less than a year old, Nintendo's warranty should still be in place. Give 'em a call and they should provide further assistance.

What kind of memory card did you buy? Non of nintendo's memory cards need to be installed, they just pop in to the cube.

1. You don't need to power the cube down to plug in the memory cards. Some games even rely on that (Gotcha Force FTW!). 2. You don't need to quit the game before powering down, either (in fact you can't quit games). It can hurt if a memory card is inserted and the game is saving but since you didn't insert it there was no non-volatile memory that could have suffered data corruption. 3. Error message? Where the hell did you shove that memory card?

NON NINTENDO MEMORY CARD HAS ISSUSES IF U HAVE ONE JUST TAKE IT BACK ..............IN OTHER CASES MARIO GAMES ARE BEST FOR A SIX YEAR OLD
