Title: glitches...reasons? anyone?
Post by: eljefe on May 11, 2006, 06:49:32 AM
In reading all over the net, I've heard this mentioned more than once. None of us fully know the tech behind it...but I was thinking that having so many systems and controllers operating so close together might be affecting the abilities of Wii. Is that possible?

Have any PGC staff played it behind closed doors? Did you have the same problems (with calibration)?

Just curious, thanks!

I'm not there and I'm not sure how this new controller works, but I'm assuming all those controllers on the same controller 1 play setting, is more than likely confusing the wiimote, especially given Nintendo's tradition of making wireless controllers that have an amazing range.

Even if the Wii isn't confused by so many systems, having that many there is bound to create some interference.

strange that only joystiq has reported on these though.

naw Johny Metts, among others, mentioned recurring issues with the "communication" between Wiimote/ sensor / and system.

I don't think its unfixable, but I was surprised hearing that. I'm sure Nintendo hates the fact that they can't show it to EACH person individually in a VIP-type room (for the best environment).

At least we're seeing a glimpse of the greatness, and I'm confident it'll be refined.
