Quote It consists of dozens of manic five-second mini games in a row. They’re geared to the Japanese gaming sensibility, which has a zany, cartoonish, game-show bent. In one hot minute, I use the controller to swat a fly, do squat-thrusts as a weight lifter, turn a key in a lock, catch a fish, drive a car, sauté some vegetables, balance a broom on my outstretched hand, color in a circle and fence with a foil. And yes, dance the hula.
Quote It’s a remarkable experience. Instead of passively playing the games, with the new controller you physically perform them. You act them out. It’s almost like theater: the fourth wall between game and player dissolves. The sense of immersion–the illusion that you, personally, are projected into the game world–is powerful. And there’s an instant party atmosphere in the room. One advantage of the new controller is that it not only is fun, it looks fun. When you play with an old-style controller, you look like a loser, a blank-eyed joystick fondler. But when you’re jumping around and shaking your hulamaker, everybody’s having a good time.

Wario Ware Wii is a must buy. As I've said countless times before, it can do everything from every past WW game and tons more, it's gonna be awesome.

Actually unless the Revmote has a microphone it can't do everything that WW Touched for the DS offered.

The bit on TP is more interesting, I think. I really like
Quote But the name Wii not wii-thstanding, Nintendo has grasped two important notions that have eluded its competitors. The first is, Don’t listen to your customers. The hard-core gaming community is extremely vocal–they blog a lot–but if Nintendo kept listening to them, hard-core gamers would be the only audience it ever had. “[Wii] was unimaginable for them,” Iwata says. “And because it was unimaginable, they could not say that they wanted it. If you are simply listening to requests from the customer, you can satisfy their needs, but you can never surprise them. Sony and Microsoft make daily-necessity kinds of things. They have to listen to the needs of the customers and try to comply with their requests. That kind of approach has been deeply ingrained in their minds.”

I still want my Wario Ware Mega-Insane-o Mix for the GCN, consisting of a mix of mini-games that use the Bongos, Action Pad, Mic, GBA Connectivity, and, of course, the regular Controller/Wavebird.
That'd be more fun than a Wario Ware Wii.

"Marv Says:
May 8th, 2006 at 2:35 am WOW Thats quite an impression from a non-gamer "

This is an excellent advertisement to non-gamers. It is in TIME magazine, not something that I would think generally covers Nintendo and games.

I'm giddy with excitement at the thought of playing this game. And I can even imagine my family watching and wanting to play, which is saying quite a lot.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The name does not matter. Once they get playable demo stations out there and people get to actually try it out everything is going to completely explode! Instead of just standing there twiddling your thumbs people are actually going to be moving around, jumping up and down. That alone it going to draw a croud of onlookers wondering what the hell's going on. People who would never have even thought about playing a video game will be intreagued enough to at least give it a look.
And true, Wario Ware would be the ULTIMATE killer-app for the masses. Toss that onto a demo station in the middle of a Wal-Mart and you'll have crouds for days. You won't see that with the PS3 or XBox 360 demos.

geez, how did you both post at 12:34? I guess this is the one I'll kill since there are fewer responses. Talkback should be up soon too.
