Samba de Amigo uses maracas, not drums.

I'll believe it when I see them...
The funny thing about the first Tomb Raider game on DS rumor is that a friend of mine on his Podcast mentioned that it wouldn't be surprising if the recently announced TR game for the DS is really the first game updated with DS features.

Yeah, wow, whoever made these seems to have just thrown out a bunch of ideas hoping he'll get a few right. If some of them turn out to be true, it's just luck.

Especially the Pikmin 3 thing - Miyamoto specifically said that even though the controller would be great for it, they have no plans as of yet. 100% complete? Please; EAD has too much on their plate already..

How about NiGHTS 2 being 65% complete? Or that the Phoenix game, the no-show from the Gamecube exclusive "Capcom 5" is now being reworked into a Kid Icarus game? I HATE that they keep on misspelling ICARUS!!

"Soul Calibur 4 annonced for all next-gen consoles"
I remember that before Namco released Soul Calibur 3 they said that it would be on next-gen sytems, they were refering to SC3, now I think it will be pretty obvious that SC4 will also be on next-gen systems.

"A remake of Soul Blade for the DS"
Interesting. Will it be a straight-port, or will it get the Dreamcast treatment that Soul Calibur did? Will it use the touch screen in some way?
"Revolution to be released in June in Japan"
Old rumor the boys at IGN discussed a while ago. Bogus.
"Released in America in September and October in Europe"
That'd be ideal, but I wouldnt' hold my breath. If they could shoot for a fall release, the die-hards can pick them up with a handful of titles. There'd be enough stock and some new titles just in time for the holiday season. Nah, too perfect...
"Ikarus(Kid Ikarus 2) developed by Retro Studios"
Ahh Kid Icarus. The rumors begin again. But by Retro? hmm...
"Possible new edition of Counter Strike for Revolution"
Could ideal controls switch Counter Strike players on the PC to the Rev? They're a hearty bunch...
"Pikim 3 is 100% complete"
A few years ago(2003-2004?), Miyamoto made a speech to some university students about game design. He said he already had the basic idea of Pikmin 3 in his head. I wouldn't be surprised if Pikmin 3 is ready for launch...

I'd never thought I'd say this about rumors...but those sound pretty cool...sounds like everything I've thought up in my head except with an FZERO universe. Starfox should just be on a long vacation for a couple of console generations...maybe like a retired franchise going to the gaming hall of fame (SNES version).

Quote Originally posted by: Hocotate Some pretty crazy stuff on that list. Do you guys think that if EVERY singe one of these came true, that the rev would blow Sony and MS away?
Everything here is a good start, but it's not enough. We'd need a good portion of these games (and then some) at launch, and a healthy pipeline of post launch titles coming out afterwards. We'd need several of these games to be "amazing" quality (the sort of thing IGN gives high 9's to), we'd need the stuff like Burnout and Fight Night to play much better on the Rev than it does on the competitors, and we need another flagship title to emerge, because nothing on this list loooks like it's "that game".
I mean, Nights and Kid Icarus were both impressive games for their respective times, but neither was a breakout hit. Both are going to require Metroid Prime-calibur revamps if they're not going to get chalked up as some retro niche title. That's asking an awful lot.
Blowing Sony and MS away is no small task. Nothing short of the Rev being the next iPod-type cultural phenomenon will accomplish that, and I just don't see that happening right away.
I see the rev being a much more gradual success. Not the sort of thing everyone's lining up to buy at launch, but a DS-type success, something that the public eventually warms up to, as developers become more familiar with the hardware and make better use of it.

Here's a better translation of the rumours from the original source which wasn't in English
Quote First of all, they note that this info is not directly linked to E3, and that some of it may not be talked about at the show.
Europe launch for DS Lite will be on eitehr the 9th or 16th of June. Most probably, according to their sources, the 9th.
The original Soul Blade game for PSX will be remade for the DS
All next gen consoles wil be getting the next iteration of Soul Calibur
"It seems almost confirmed" that the new Tomb Radier will be on Rev. There will also be a DS version and the Cube version of Tomb Raider Legend will contain extras the versions on other consoles did not have.
They claim that they have confirmation that the Nights into Dreams game rumored for Revolution is no rumor at all; they claim they can confirm it is being developed and is being directed by Yuji Naka, that it is 65% complete, and that it will use the Revmote exclusively, no nunchuck or shell.
Once again, rumors point to a June/July launch for the console in Japan, with the rest reciving it between Septembar and October.
The launch color will be white, with black and other colors following soon after. The color will be directly related to the game that comes with the console.
The sensor bar under the TV will match with the color of the console.
Retro Studio is giving Kid Icarus a complete makeover for its Revolution debut. The name of the game is Icarus. They also go on to say that this rumor seems to be the real thing.
A new Star Fox game is in development. It will rely solely on the Revmote for control.
There is a horse racing game in development aimed at the japanese market.
Fight Night is in development and will use two Revmotes.
Burnout Revenge may not be the Burnoutgame that will be on Revolution. Instead, Revolution will get the next entry in the franchise.
Peter Molyneux was planning on beggining development of versions of Black and White and The Movies for Revolution before Microsoft bought the company.
35 develpment kits were sent to Rockstar London/Take Two about a month ago. Nothing about what kind of game it may be is known, but it seems unlikely that it will be a GTA game.
One of their sources says that he can confirm that Ubi Soft has 9 titles in development for the Rev, many of which will be launch titles.
It appears that the suspected Prince of Persia version for Rev seems completely confirmed.
Super Smash Bros. for the Rev will be subtitlted "Mayhem". (The part of "Caos Total" is simply the way you would say it in spanish, NOT another option).
Nintendo and Valve were in talks during the month of March about bringing an exclusive new version of Counter Strike to Rev.
The Rev control in Zelda: Twilight Pricness will be used in combination with the shell. Its use will be limited, not a full blown translation to the Rev control wise. For example, using it in situations ehre you are in firts-person view.
However, they do say that an exclusive dungeon may be included that exploits the new caracteristics with a new item. (They do not say to what caracteristics they are referring, though I suspect they simply mean the Revmote's unique qualities).
Zelda: Twilight Pricness has changed a great deal, and we may be surprised when he see the new images come E3.
Pikmin 3 is completely finished. They cannot confirm *****'s calims that it will appear at E3, but they would expect that would be the case. It will use the Revmote exclusively for controlling the game.
=========================================================================== ============================================= From here on they cite somebody called BigTac. It appears that he is some kind of insider that has proven himself honest in the past. =========================================================================== =============================================
There will be online launch titles from both Nintendo and 3rd parties.
Sega games on other systems will also be available for download.
Midway is developing three exclusives for the Rev. One of them being "incredible".
They vaguely mention there will be two gorgeous RPGs and some new/wierd games at E3.
There will be cheap games between $25-$30.
Developers have known the new name of the console since January.
We must keep our eyes on Zoonami.
Capcom will have 2 titles for Rev at E3. They may or may not be playable.
Another big name designer will be announcing a new game for Rev at E3. They say it may be the Naka Nights into Dreams game they reported on.
Red Steel will not be the only game revealed prior to E3, although Nintendo will not show anything till then.
BigTac says that NoA hyped him up when they talked about Red Steel, stating that NoA told him, "This is nothing", "You haven't seen anything yet",and "This is only the beggining".

This is the time of year where all sorts of rumor bags are thrown around, right before E3. I could whip up a fake photoshop saying Dragon Quest is coming to Rev for instance, and it'd probably get a second look.
Oh yeah and the thing abuot TP here was actually said by a few Nintendo reps, so this guy is just grabbing stuff he thinks is probably true and making things up so when those things are confirmed true everyone will think "OMG so the rest has to be real too!".

Uh, what? Horse racing games, the realistic kind, are incredibly popular in Japan...It doesn't need a Zelda spinoff... =P
Europe launch for DS Lite will be on eitehr the 9th or 16th of June. Most probably, according to their sources, the 9th.
Believable, considering lots of rumours and stores point at a June launch...
The original Soul Blade game for PSX will be remade for the DS
Neato, but I wouldn't really care if not true...

Yes, please!

Yes, please! Famitsu has a pretty reliable rumour crew, so this is likely!

Yeah, uh, this is kind of pushing it, but we haven't seen what software is done yet, so I don't think it fair to comment...

Noooooooo, I want black you heathens! AT LAUNCH!

Nah, it'll be a standard lime green!
Retro Studio is giving Kid Icarus a complete makeover for its Revolution debut. The name of the game is Icarus. They also go on to say that this rumor seems to be the real thing.
I'd love this to be true...
A new Star Fox game is in development. It will rely solely on the Revmote for control.
Not a very surprising rumour...Though I guess one could consider it surprising that it's in development so soon...
There is a horse racing game in development aimed at the japanese market.
Good for the Japanese market...
Fight Night is in development and will use two Revmotes.
If true, it's nice to see EA actually try something new...
Burnout Revenge may not be the Burnoutgame that will be on Revolution. Instead, Revolution will get the next entry in the franchise.
I personally dislike Burnout (and all "realistic" racers), so this doesn't matter to me much...
Peter Molyneux was planning on beggining development of versions of Black and White and The Movies for Revolution before Microsoft bought the company.
Noone cares...
35 develpment kits were sent to Rockstar London/Take Two about a month ago. Nothing about what kind of game it may be is known, but it seems unlikely that it will be a GTA game.
MAYBE IT'S TABLE TENNIS!
One of their sources says that he can confirm that Ubi Soft has 9 titles in development for the Rev, many of which will be launch titles.
Many of which? Ick, sounds like shovelware ports... =|
It appears that the suspected Prince of Persia version for Rev seems completely confirmed.
Not a PoP fan, and it's not a very exciting rumour or a very surprising rumour, at that...
Super Smash Bros. for the Rev will be subtitlted "Mayhem". (The part of "Caos Total" is simply the way you would say it in spanish, NOT another option).
A name is a name...Couldn't the rumour guys get something (or make something up) more interesting on the game?
Nintendo and Valve were in talks during the month of March about bringing an exclusive new version of Counter Strike to Rev.
After Red Steel and Prime 3, I really won't need anymore FPSers...Good for the American market, though...
The Rev control in Zelda: Twilight Pricness will be used in combination with the shell. Its use will be limited, not a full blown translation to the Rev control wise. For example, using it in situations ehre you are in firts-person view.
Well I certainly wouldn't expect Ninty to use up all their cards on a game that wasn't built from the ground up on Rev hardware in the first place...
However, they do say that an exclusive dungeon may be included that exploits the new caracteristics with a new item. (They do not say to what caracteristics they are referring, though I suspect they simply mean the Revmote's unique qualities).
Not surprising...
Zelda: Twilight Pricness has changed a great deal, and we may be surprised when he see the new images come E3.
This was hinted at by ONM a while back...Can't wait to see them...
Pikmin 3 is completely finished. They cannot confirm *****'s calims that it will appear at E3, but they would expect that would be the case. It will use the Revmote exclusively for controlling the game.
Ehhhhhh, I find this kind of hard to believe...But I guess we'll see at E3...
There will be online launch titles from both Nintendo and 3rd parties.
Oh...Didn't see that one coming!
Sega games on other systems will also be available for download.
On...huh?
Midway is developing three exclusives for the Rev. One of them being "incredible".
I would agree with Mario, but Midway also publishes games...
They vaguely mention there will be two gorgeous RPGs and some new/wierd games at E3.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and Golden Sun!
There will be cheap games between $25-$30.
We already knew this...
Developers have known the new name of the console since January.
Is that really so?
We must keep our eyes on Zoonami.
I've gone blind from looking for them since last E3... >=|
Capcom will have 2 titles for Rev at E3. They may or may not be playable.
Okami better be one of them...
Another big name designer will be announcing a new game for Rev at E3. They say it may be the Naka Nights into Dreams game they reported on.
In other news, if it rains tomorrow, the ground will get wet!
[B}Red Steel will not be the only game revealed prior to E3, although Nintendo will not show anything till then.
Tony Hawk...or something more?
BigTac says that NoA hyped him up when they talked about Red Steel, stating that NoA told him, "This is nothing", "You haven't seen anything yet",and "This is only the beggining"
Actually, they really said "Okay, that's the only game we have...Wait till E3 2007 for the REAL deal!" =D

I call bs on this entire thing for one reason: Soul Blade was hinted for the DS forever ago. There was even a screen shot running around that was essentially a mix from the PS version and Dreamcast's Soul Calibur. The graphics were passable, essentially every N64 fighter.
I.e., it was a rumor then, proven false iirc, and still hovers around as a rumor.
Given that, I'd call bs on everything else, except that some of them will come true purely because some of them have to. As in Pikmin 3 will most certainly be announced, but there's no way it's 100%.
A June release alone is absurd enough.
It's going to be a long 2.5 weeks....

I personally don't believe it. I am expecting an October release in Japan and America.

Correction, Soul Calibur was hinted, not Soul Blade, and those graphics were PS1 tech all the way. Soul Blade only appeared on PS1 only, those screens of Soul Calibur seen earlier were from the actual arcade game, not from DS or PS1. (PS1 couldn't even handle the game, that's why a DC version was made and I more than believe a DS version would look better than that.) If they do a port of Soul Blade, I hope they fix it up some because I remember the PS1 version being cut down just to make it over, and make it run 60fps since the original was 30.

I don't find the June release in Japan surprising at all, because remember who their main compettion is in Japan? Sony. Sony has the PS3 slated for November. It would be a great move on Nintendo's part to stagger the launch like that. By the time PS3 comes about, the Rev has all of Japan in a tizzy. In all honestly, they would only need 6 titles for launch in June. I don't think that's impossible.

"Retro Studio is giving Kid Icarus a complete makeover for its Revolution debut. The name of the game is Icarus. They also go on to say that this rumor seems to be the real thing."
So Retro's function is to make 3D versions of 2D Intelligent Systems games?
It all seems too fanboyish. There's too much good news here. We see this sort of stuff all the time before a console launch. Some of it probably will be true but if you just list every possible thing people would want to see odds are you'll get at least a few of them right.

I dont think that Ds can make a game graphicaly better than Dream cast, Dc was graphicaly superior to PS2 and thats the level PSP is at so a SOul Blade or even Soul Caliber remake would look better than any thing pS1 could do but NOT as good as DC.
The NiGhts thing sounds pretty true to me since I been reading a lot about it at teh Sega forums and the guys there who works for Sega say that they think its true.
Kid Icarus would be cool but I dont expect too many people will remeber the game let alone the name that is unless they watched Captian N when they were kids.
Midway make a lot of irncredible games, especialy the ALWAYS fantastic Mortal Kombat games, so there is no reason to doubt this. Especialy since Midway has posted jobs for Revolution development recently. Also Area 51 has to be one of those games.
Pikmin 3, most likely true but who cares pikmin wasnt that fun.
Fight Night rumnour sounds true especialy since thats what everybody has speculated all along anyways. and considering EA usualy makes decent games its likly to be cool.
As for everythign els eon the list I dont see anything that jumps out as worth replying to.

*GASP* WHAT?!
In my view Pikmin's the best thing on the Cube. It bothered me greatly that Miyamoto hinted that they weren't really thinking of making a sequel. If there's any Nintendo franchise that deserves at least one more sequel it's Pikmin. Nintendo will no doubt continue to release 5 or 6 generic Mario spinoffs and it'll be a shame if THAT dribble gets made and Pikmin 3 doesn't.

For once I agree with IAN...the experience that Pikmin brought to the table was incredible...I thought it was more of a killer app than Smash Bros. that no one paid attention to. It really was the one game outside of Metroid Prime that was probably the best single-player experience I've had with the system. Pikmin 2 came out and eclipsed it and exceeded my expectations. The one thing better about a twice as powerful REV...is more Pikmin to manage and split into 2 teams.

New rumors from a Japanese site
Quote - a certain company of familiarity by RPG of a dragon or the last does GATCHIRI handshaking with RPG of the monster of a pocket, and returns to the next-generation machine of a certain company
- seemingly the certain FREE game known for the development costs of 7 billion appears by E3 again, and will start a revolution.

I dont get what all the fuss is about. I have Pikmin, its ok, not great but ok, I think in small does it can be fun but in small doeses, they really should over do it though.

1) Squenix Pokemon RPG 2) Bundle game for Rev
At least, that's my take on it...

Bill Aurion:
That would be a brilliant move for Nintendo...but would Game Freak want to give its baby and pride and joy away to another company?
I personally think they wouldn't, but then again they may want to spread their wings and try other games and other genres. In that case, Nintendo could kill two birds with one stone.
Allow Game Freaks to work on another original idea for the Revolution (or just work on Pokemon DS) and give SquareEnix one of the biggest and most beloved RPG series to make their own. And in that partnership gain an exclusive Revolution RPG.

I don't see Game Freak going to console development, even for Revolution, at least not in the near future. I also don't trust Square handling the Pokemon series, but as long as I keep getting my fix of proper handheld Pokemon RPGs, they can go nuts on the consoles I guess. Personally I prefer the sparkling innovation spinoff games on consoles though, Pokemon Snap 2 please!

Mario: Pokemon Snap was a Rare and interesting game. I enjoyed it, but wished it was a free roaming adventure in the wild to take pictures of Pokemon...so yes I sequel that completely fleshes out the idea is definately needed.
The formula for Pokemon is pretty simple. As long as they put a team on the game that won't CGI' It UP (Read F'It UP) then I think they could craft a compelling story and even evolve the battle to a more advanced game.

HAL, Genius Sonority, Chunsoft and more say "Sure, why not?"
If anyone wants a Megaton, a Squenix Pokemon RPG is about as big as you can get...It'd be huge pretty much anywhere...

Bill: I forgot several games have already been made under different developers.
I agree Bill it would be very much Megaton, and I would be excited to see what would come of it.
Hell, I love the idea many have of a Nintendo/SquareEnix Kingdom Hearts type game. Just please drop the Disney aspects out...it just doesn't feel right to have such clashing characters and worlds melding together.

Pokémon snap 2 for the Rev would be great. Yu could use the controller as a camera with zoom and other such features. But yeah, Squenix Pokémon RPG = great idea. KH style Nintendo-based Squenix RPG starring Captain N (it's only logical) = greater idea.

I seem to be filling the board this morning. The only way I would like another company actually handle an honest to god RPG Pokemon for console if I was Game Freaks would be to do a joint project. I could see Square and Game Freaks doing a joint project between the two of them to make such a thing, or better yet Camelot (I think there style would be a better fit when tempered by Game Freak).
Now a Nintendo Characters/Famous characters that have shown up on Nintendo Systems would be cool but I don't want it to follow the KH model exactly. I mean compared to the first KH:2 is weak and KH: Chain of Memory I can't play through, Spak-Spang knows why. Story wise there all good. KH2 just had to much lack of polish on the actual gameplay compared to the first. It felt more like a movie that contained summaries of other movies and some interaction. Plus this time they did the full revisit everything to make it longer and an hour or two worth of introduction. That being said.
I want Super Mario RPG 2. I liked Super Mario RPG. I like how it introduced characters that weren't just stock Mario characters for interaction. It was good. Now I haven't played through the "Sequals" but I would like Super Mario RPG 2.

Both the Mario and Luigi games (for GBA and DS respectfully) were great spirtual successors, but a hardline pt.2 would be quite rousing....
Bill, as for the Pokemon Squeenix RPG idea, in the immortal words of the inventors of Guiness Stout.....
"BRILLIANT!"

A Snap 2 would be neat if they implement it right. Free roaming and exploring would be ideal. An upgrade-type system where the better the pics you take, the more money you get for them and the more money you get, the better equipment you can buy to take better pics of pokemon so you get more money...and so on. I would buy that...or at least play it a lot if someone bought it for me.

"1) Squenix Pokemon RPG"
Well the last time Square got to use a Nintendo franchise they made Super Mario RPG which is easily one of my top three favourite games ever. So I say "YEAH!" Besides no matter what it's GOT to be better then those horrible Pokemon RPGs on the Cube. With Pokemon on consoles they might as well give anyone with some talent a shot because it's broken anyway.
Regarding Pokemon Snap I think they should just make a 3D Pokemon RPG and make photography something you can do in it. Majora's Mask has photography in it. You don't need to make a specific camera game in order to use the concept.
"2) Bundle game for Rev"
Nintendo: We at Nintendo are proud to annouce the free bundle game for the Rev... BRAIN AGE.
Ian: Oh, uh, that's nice I guess.

Screw a bundled game. Just have the Rev's start-up screen be Mario's Face from SM64.
Oh...and uh... the first SMB/Duck Hunt preloaded...
