I was browsing the nintendo.com revolution forums and I came across this topic.

I do not remember hearing that 4 and a half weeks part before. Has anyone else heard that? I had also not seen the November 20th for Red Steel, but I did not really read the article because the scans were not very good. I would say that that information makes November 20th a likely launch date (or maybe a little bit earlier in North America, but not much), which is pretty much what we already knew (before Thanksgiving).

So, what do you guys think?

Iwata has never, that I can find, said anything of the sort. (4 1/2 weeks)

He said there might not be a worldwide launch, and later Nintendo spokespeople said we shouldn't take that as confirmation that there won't be. And he said that there would be a US launch "before thanksgiving".

Anyway, since a week cannot be split evenly in half, this news is false!

Ahh... but you're forgetting the time difference between Europe and North America. That half a day could make up for that.

a week is 7 days which is uneven, but a day is an even number,, 24x7=168/2=84/24=3.5 days = 3 days 12 hours...half a week

The 4.5 weeks estimate comes from taking their 14 week worldwide launch spreed and dividing it by three, which would give approximately 4.66 weeks.

This is still speculation, of course. Ah... but it's such nice speculation!

No way. I'm completely psychic, and I say the Revolution will launch in the US on November 21st. It's the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, just like in 2001, when the Gamecube was released. If it doesn't launch on the 21st, I'll... I dunno. Do something random.
