Title: Pokemon Trozei!
Post by: nitsu niflheim on March 11, 2006, 05:53:13 PM
So, anyone else got this game. I got it yesterday and have been playing the Adventure Mode, and the Endless Mode. I have over 40% of the Trozei list done, but getting the rare Pokemon to Trozei while in a round is harder than you would hope to expect as when ever they drop, they don't stick around long enough for you to really plan out a plan. You sometimes just gotta hope for the best and get them in a chain reaction. Other than that the game is rather addicting.

=D Yeah, I'm looking forward to getting this when it launches here in a few weeks. I really enjoyed the demo!

I just ordered it off Toys R Us site through that B2G1 deal they've got going (along with Trace Memory and Princess Peach) hopefully it'll be here later this week

I realized last night that you can pretty much cheat and get a higher score just by advancing through the levels in the Endless mode. See earlier yesterday I made it all the way to like level 37 before I messed up and it was over, well my high score was around 224,000+ so I beat my previous score of around 154,000+. But when I went to play again, you get to select what level you want to start on based on how far you have gotten. So I started on level 35 which is the highest level I could start, it seems the levels are based on increments of 5. And by doing that level, it showed that there was a 640,000 point bonus, which you get when you complete that level, level 35. So I completely that level and along with what I got doing that level I got around 648,000+ points for one round. I managed to get to level 47 before I messed up again and when I went back to the level select screen level 45 gives you like a 900,000 point bonus.
Also, it seems that you do not get those bonus points if you play normally from level 1 and up, because if that were the case I would have had a hell of a lot more points that 224,000+ when I "died" at level 37 that first time.

So when's the wifi-enabled Pokemon MMORPG coming out?

I would guess that's the sort of thing you'd more see on the Rev. What I'm hoping for is a Pokemon: TCG Online for the DS.

A Pokemon: TCG Online is pretty much the only way they are getting me to play a TCG game period.
But, I would love to have that online game. (One single investment to play and gather all the cards.)

So I've been playing this game for a couple of days, and I wonder, when the heck does it start to get difficult? I don't know if I'm just spoiled by the high challenge level of games like Puyo Pop Fever, but I have literally not seen the "game over" screen playing in endless mode once. I've gotten into the mid-40's, but I usually just start getting bored by then and turn it off.

I dunno. To me the chain system of the game sounds really cool, and adds huge amounts of depth to the game, but at the same time seems to pontentially make it even easier.
The game is basically BeJeweled with additional depth within chaining combos...and BeJeweled is one of the easiest and boring puzzle game I have ever played.
