Title: My gamecube doesn't have sound...

My buddy gave me a cube and said the cable for a/v disappeared.

I went and got two different standard av cables, and still no sound...

What gives?  Has anyone ever heard of the sound card going bad in a gamecube?  It's seriously very strange and I figure most systems are pretty stable as far as consoles go.


Anyone have any suggestions they'd be much appreciated, as I'm pretty much giving up on the ol' gamecube
