Ya they blundered on blast corps. It is a really fun game, I remember renting it a few times, only problem was thats all it took to beat the game. One game I hope nintendo brings back is uniracers that game was sweet.

Blast Corps is really a fun game, I bought it. One of Rare's best.

Blast Corps was a fun game, and concept, but it was a game that was too long, and didn't have enough variety.
In the end, I found several levels boring, and others too difficult, because they required perfect controls and manuevers, and the controls for the game were anything but perfect.

I liked Blast Corp as well. It was the first title I bought for my N64 but I have to agree with Spak-Spang. Some levels even involved tricks to find the hidden machine that would actually let you complete the level. Doesn't mean I won't get it if the price is right.

That's surprising that you say that. I've beaten nearly every game I've played on a single rental, but Blast Corps I think I rented more than once and still couldn't beat it. I'm talking about 100%.
I think I had trouble with the dump truck. What was it called? Backlash? Sheesh, I was so sloppy with that thing.
I might have to buy it just to get that blemish off my record.

Hey, you've actually played that! Good job! Anyway, it was developed by Rockstar, you know?

What are you talking about? Blast Corps was amazingly short.

Ha ha, I also thought Blast Corps was long and hard. Of course, I have a tendency to play things to 100% as I'm going so I take longer than others to beat a game.

The game definately made you KNOW how to drive those vehicles, if you were even alittle off you lost valuable time and sometimes the entire level on one mistake.
The really cool bonus levels were too few and far between, but what they had rocked.
It just seemed the game was a brilliant concept rushed and didn't play nearly as well as everyone claims it did.
I have the same complaints about Body Harvest, which I love the concept of that game, and I would love a sequel of that game done.

Like I said, maybe I just suck with the Backlash.
The moon and the planets...gah! I hated that stage on Neptune or whatever with ball things floating around that you had to use the Backlash to destroy. I had enough trouble with it on Earth so I didn't have a chance with different gravity.
I'd like a game one day to have buildings and their architecture all laid out. Metal girders, concrete foundations, glass windows, etc. Real physics. You'd proably want a more invincible bulldozer (like the Blast Dozer or whatever it was called) but I think it would be fun to tear apart a real building, not just big blocks that are supposed to be buildings.

Jon: That could be fun. I think a game designed around demolishing a "real" town or building like that would be fun.
I would definately make it a puzzle game though. You have limited supplies to destory a building...requiring you to knock buildings into eachother and such.
You can create referances to Rampage, Blast Corp, and Sim City all into one.
