Title: Picasso
Post by: matt5678 on February 23, 2003, 06:27:42 AM
What happened to Picasso? I remember reading about it before GC was released and it was one of the most antcipated games on the system. Since then, I've not heard anything about it.

I only vaguely remember it, so any information will be appreciated

I never even heard about it. . . sounds promising, though, if it's being made. . .

I think it was canned.

It was also going to be out for the pc.

It was a painting stealing game.  Where you'd sneak into museums and stuff.

Yeah,  I think it was canned.

Funnily enough I just read a bit about it in the March GCN magazine. Apparently it hasn't officially been cancelled but nothing's been said about it for ages so it's highly doubtful

Hey, thanks for the reminder; I loved the premise of the game so I think I'll hype it up.

First off it's "Picassio," yes with an I.  And its not as boring as art-theft, it's competitive art-theft.  You have to contend both with gallery security and another theif.  You'll (and likewise the other guy) have plenty of fancy hi-tech gizmos you can use to aid you or also use the other guy's gizmos that he left lying around (and vice versa).
