How do i find my friend code

From the main menu, select Nintendo WFC. From this menu, select Friend Code. From the next menu, select Confirm Friend Code. That's off the top of my head so it may not be exactly right, but close enough.

If it's Animal Crossing, you talk to the dude on the right at the gate and ask for it.
