Title: Call Of Duty 2: Big Red One
Post by: gamebox on December 22, 2005, 11:34:00 AM
Hi. I just bought Call Of Duty 2: Big Red One for my GameCube, but have a few questions before I open it, because I may want to return it.
1. Is there a multiplayer mode (for a second, or more, controller(s))?
2. Which do you think is more fun, has more replay value, and will last a long time (not getting bored with it): Call Of Duty 2: Big Red One, or James Bond: From Russia With Love?
3. Are the campaigns in Big Red One worthwhile and "fun", compared to that of From Russia With Love (if you've played it)?
Thanks, Gamebox

For GameCube, nope, there's no multiplayer options. But it is a better game overall than Russia with Love.
You know what you should do? Not buy either and just buy the PC Call of Duty II. One of the best PC games I've ever played.

definetly keep Call of Duty. It is a great game. There is no way you will get bored with Call of Duty, There is just to much damn action to get bored. No matter how many times you play it.

That's what I was thinking, but then I found out that there was no multiplayer for Gamecube, I was kind of leaning towards Russia With Love, becuase I've loved the other James Bond games, and truthfully, I'm just getting this last game to pass the time for the wait of the 360 (second shipping) .
Anyway, I still want to be able to play with more people, and the multiplayer mode in games like Agent Under Fire (007) were outstanding, so I was thinking maybe Russia With Love, and the fact that my best friend has COD2: Big Red One for GC, so I could just borrow it... What should I do?

Anyone else want to stop this kid from throwing his life away by getting a 360? I'm not really in the intervention mood today.

1. Kid?
2. Give the 360 some respect, come on! I'm sure you've gone over this a million times, but really, the revelution's gonna suck. Whoever buy's it's just gonna be one of those new, or retro (Nintendo's marketing strategy) Nintendo F-A-N-B-O-Y.

Indeed, by insinuating that someone's a "Fanboy" let alone having to spell it out, I too would think the samething. Plus yes the 360 did deserve it, as it hasn't shown anything so far that's really "Next-Gen"
and why an go ahead and say rev will suk? You don't have any idea what it's capable of, let alone what the new controller will entale in the way we play. Plus you asked a question, prepare to get an answer, regardless if you liked it or not.
btw, the last post sounded like flame baite, your on a nintendo board, so prepare to get assualted on the last comment

Agent Under Fire? Trash.
Nightfire? Better time spent.

If you're getting a 360 bloody throw that Big Red One crap away and get Call of Cuty 2 on 360. I've heard some suggest it's better than the PC version.
But really the money spent on 360 would be better spent on therepy.

No console FPS can match the quality of a PC FPS, and that's just because of the simple control issue. I'm a pretty big fan of dual analog controls, but I'd take the mouse-WASD set-up over that anyday. The only console set-up that looks more promising for FPS's than a PC happens to be the Rev's...ahem...
