Title: PGC Announces Webhead of the Week Contest

Compete to win a copy of Ultimate Spider-Man on your GameCube, DS, and GBA!

With two hit movies, more than a few hit games, and more headlining comic appearances than you can shake a web-shooter at, it's hard not to be a Spidey fan these days. With this in mind, we're giving you, the reader, the chance to show off those art skills in a brand new contest. The premise is simple: all you have to do is send in a short comic strip starring Spider-Man. Whether you want it to be a dramatic take on the franchise or a parody is entirely up to you. Just make sure you abide by the following regulations:    


  • Comic strip must be at least two panels  
  • Spider-Man must make a clear appearance  
  • No nudity or offensive images  
  • Must be your own, original artwork  
  • Artwork must not exceed 600 pixels in width    


    The winning entry will not only appear on PGC, but Activision was generous enough to donate Ultimate Spider-Man on GameCube, DS, and GBA for that lucky artist out there. The contest officially starts today, December 13th, 2005, and will run until December 21st, 2005 at 10:00 PM, Eastern Time. Thanks again to Activision for donating such a great prize. Employees of Planet GameCube and Activision are prohobited from entering. Those who do not follow the preceding rules may be disqualified. Open to readers worldwide.

    if i find time! i want to do a contest...ut i lack time. I suppose i could draw something and thne afterwards scan it and put it into photoshop and make it look professional

    So far, I haven't recieved a single entry. At this rate, I'll have to give the prizes to last-minute joke entries done entirely with MS Paint...

    I also just entered. A little MSPaint concution. It has given me a whole new realm of respect for Infernal Monkey's works, it is indeed difficult to use and MEGA-IMPOSSIBLE to master, but somehow he has got it down to an art.

    hey... how come this wasnt anywhere on the frontpage besides today? Maybe that's why there was such a small amount of entries...
    The contest announced on the 13th was the Naruto 4 contest. I don't see anything about the Spiderman one. Yeah...

    Due to the holidays and a few other roadblocks, getting this contest judged and decided took a lot of extra time. However, the winner's all but been confirmed. He hasn't been notified yet, but will be soon; look for an update concerning the matter on the front page within the next few days.

    Sorry for making everyone wait, though.

    Traditional American comic art has no place on the web. If only I had the time to ink and color my work.

    Congrats to the winner. Next time I'll fix the layout and put in the extra time to finish it off.
