Title: CNN.com's front page right now - Xbox 360 and GameCube
Post by: JonLeung on November 24, 2005, 08:48:59 AM
There are two stories related to gaming on the front page of CNN.com right now:
"Microsoft reports Xbox 360 faults" & "Slow GameCube sales"

I understand the topical nature of the first story on the Xbox 360 but what is the point of the scond story about the GameCube, which isn't really all that surprising?  If anything, it's further hurting Nintendo as we go into the Christmas season.  The last time I heard about Nintendo on CNN.com was the story that The Legend Of Zelda: Twlight Princess was delayed.

Grrr.

Well, CNN's job isn't to make companies look good.  While the GameCube news isn't exactly...news...if I'm an investor that doesn't really know too much about videogames, I might want to know about that.

Well, Nintendo released their 1H financials, so it stands to reason it could be picked up while video game news, in general, has interest at the moment.
