Title: Mac users?
Post by: RABicle on November 18, 2005, 05:52:29 AM
Ok I'm using an old Airport. Not an Express or Extreme which Nintendo list on their site but the previous model. Vanilla model.

No matter what I do I cannot connect. I swear I have gotten every error message there is. Anyone have any tips?

Are you using WEP or WPA?   I heard that the DS can only work with with WEP.

My recommendation is not to use any encryption at all. Factory reset your Airport and let the DS auto-detect it as if it were fresh out of the box.

Stealthboy put it this way. This wireless router is so old that WPA wasn't even invented when we purchased it.

Thanks Alec. I think that's all there really is left to do for me. I've tryed to share my internet connection with my Airport card with no encrytion or filtering. I've tried to create a dedicated network just between my computer and the DS. I've tried to make the DS connect directly to the airport. I've had it automatically assign itslef an ip via DHCP and I've tried manuall. No matter what happens, it wont work. And it seems like a get a different error everytime, even if my configuration is the same.

Not an aoss

But regardless I got it working. Generally jsut a ridiculous setup courtesy of Dad. We had to reconfigure everything.
