Title: Bleach GC: Should I?
Post by: KDR_11k on November 12, 2005, 10:47:09 PM
Well, there's a Bleach game coming out for the GC. Lik-Sang makes it sound good (well, that's their job) but I have my doubts: 1. The cel shading looks below par (worse than PS2, I'd say from the screenshots). As if they didn't know what they were doing. Usually, when one part of the dev team doesn't know what they're doing, the rest doesn't either. 2. It's made by Sega. That may have been a pro back in 1995 but their track record hasn't been exactly stellar lately (outside of the Treasure games they published).
So now I'm undecided whether I should take the plunge or wait until someone gets around to both importing and reviewing it.
By the way, the last package from Lik-Sang I got was marked "gift" and evaded customs that way, does anyone know whether that's standard policy now or do they do that only when the entire package falls under free shipping?

My friend makes 300aussies dollar orders from play-asia and never has been taxed
anyway on topic: Looks alright, thing is 2D sword fighters have a huge fail rate and the added button mashing pics look a bit iffy should still be decent

Yeah, I'm on the fence with this game too. I haven't seen any video so I'm not sure if it something I'd get into like I did with Naruto. My obsession with Bleach is the only thing that would cause me to buy this game, so depending on how many captains are in it, i may or not may not import it.

DeadlyD: I live in another country and customs act differently from country to country. All I really want to know is whether I can safely add some figurines to the package without having to pay tax and duty on the game as well. Meh, I guess I'd just make two orders, since Bleach is Free Shipping that doesn't cost extra anyway.
Odifiend: 25 characters. Since there aren't many useful characters in the series that most likely includes all captains (with the head guy most likely as the end boss). I know from the trailers (only a few split seconds of gameplay footage though) that even that dead guy from the fifth company is in (forgot his name).

Yeah, when it arrives, that is. It's to be released on the first so by the time I can give impressions it'll be mid Decembre.

You sure those pics (with the meters down the bottom) are for button mashing? The head to head shots look more like Donkey Konga-esque rhythm based face-offs to me.
