Title: Mario Paint!
Post by: Don'tHate742 on October 21, 2005, 01:46:17 PM
It seems Mario Paint might actually make it to the DS. Not only that, but it could possibly link-up with the REV / REV version and even go WiFi!

Quote

"The new Mario Paint will be a community-building game and users will be able to share their creations with other DS users and Revolution users." Wi-Fi Connection support seems guaranteed, as does a Revolution version of the game, which will apparently offer 3D modeling capabilities.

And just to warn people, their source IS Spong, which always seems to be iffy on their sources...They've been "decent" more recently, so give this a 50/50...Not like Mario Paint DS is that out there anyway...

Yes, I'm sure about that. Did anyone here get the Nintendo Power that had grids to make Mario, Link, etc, and showed you how to make classic Nintendo theme songs on Mario Paint? It was great. Then you could make little 4/6/9 frame animations and play your music to them...CLASSIC.

No imagine using the Rev controller to conduct the music you make.

That would be really awesome. I wonder if the "pointer" is accurate enough to be able to "draw" with it, or if they could make a pencil-like controller for a Mario Paint update...now THAT would be truly awesome.

Anyone watch Homestarrunner?  The creators of that cartoon got their start with Mario Paint, and even made a new Mario Paint animation reently.  I loved Mario Paint, but my mouse is crapping out, which makes it very frustrating.  Even with my copy of Flash, I'd go back to Mario Paint once in a while if my mouse was working better.  It's just so simple and fun.

Count me in for Mario Paint DS.

Homestar Runner rocks (well, the series does, Homestar himself is rather stupid). They could put all the animations and games on a CD and it'd be worth 30 bucks easily. Stinkoman is fun, Trogdor is just plain cult.

Burninating the countryside, Burninating the peasants...

The DS could connect to Rev Wirelessly to use the touch pad and stylus, that would be pretty cool.

I got the NP Player's Guide for the game and wasted incredible amounts of time copying out the pixel art in there.  I even started drawing my own pictures and converting them into pixel art that I'd recreate one custom stamp at a time.  Nowdays I don't think I could put in that kind of dedication, but it's still so easy and fun.

I always got a kick out of playing with the letters. Like the O that turned itself into a bomb.
