A "Heads Up Display". Nothing close to being VR or 3D but something that interacts with Fps and only goes over one eye (I.E. the scanner from Dragon Ball z). Think: Metroid Prime 3.0. You'd haver the analog in one hand the freestyle in another and a small (wireless?) text and graph display for health, ammo and things of the such. The beauty of this is they don't cost that much to make ( A battery, 2-inch fiber optic cord, a blue LED and some clear plastic) I believe it would add another level to the experience.

Stu L Tissimus & Nile Boogie, those are freakin' awesome ideas.
Stu L Tissimus> I can see SEGA releasing something like that to play Time Crisis or any other shooting game they have.
Nile Boogie> That's an awesome idea but it still sounds expensive.

Nile: Blocking one eye and causing both eyes to see different things will screw up your vision.
Hm... Straps to attach the controller to your arm for Metroid or Megaman games and to your belt for the Captain N game.

It's not blocking your vision. Think about it like putting on half of a pair of eyeglasses with no script in the lens.
I can build one for about $40 so if mass produced the cost would be lower significantly.
