Cool review, the game sounds like i'd have a LOT of fun just playing around, possessing things for lol and finding ways of scaring people. Along with a solid multiplayer this game sounds like a buy to me
Quote

Cons:
# Too easy

Is there a harder difficulty you unlock after beating the game?

Is there an option to change the controls so you aim with the control stick rather than the c-stick? In Timesplitters 2 I couldn't stand aiming with the c-stick, but when I changed around the c-stick and control stick it was much better.

Nice review...

"Pros:
# Scaring and possession is a blast
# Interesting story
# Fun multiplayer
# Point of view animations

Cons:
# Too easy
# AI isn’t very smart
# C-stick makes for shaky aiming"

And in the end, the pros easily outnumber the cons...As I've said in the past, difficulty means nothing to me if the game is fun...Not long left!

Good to hear it's better than N-Space's other GC game, Mary Kate and Ash Face Go Driving For Hamburgers or whatever it was.

Yes, you can alter the controls to swap the sticks. There's also a control set that lets the game control like Metroid Prime.

Did you also have problems playing TS2 with "shaky"ness or is it just the game?
Before aiming with C-stick in Ts2 was pretty good

NIce review.  Sounds like a very interesting game.

"There's also a control set that lets the game control like Metroid Prime."

There is? How come I haven't heard this in those reviews that bash the controls?

Sounds about like what I had expected.  I'd say I'll check it out, but that would be a lie, because I don't get along with the first person shooter genre and this sounds closer to it than Metroid Prime.

This is the first FPS that's really intrigued me since NOLF (PC). Thanks for the review. I was having doubts about the game but it seems to have turned out like I expected; a FPS that's different, and may have some flaws as a result. Which is fine with me. I might pick this up on release.

Perhaps most of the reviews that bash the Geist controls bashed Prime's controls as well?

Does the MP control mode have lock-on?

Probably why if not.

The FPS part of the game controls almost identical to TS2: not a bad thing, if you ask me.

Let me clarify: don't think "metroid prime controls" for that scheme, think "Goldeneye N64 default controls".  I'd imagine it works well in Ghosty Adventure mode, but not practical in FPS mode.  I use Leftstick-Aim, Rightstick-Movement.

The thought of N64 control configs for an FPS repels me.

I want to personally thank Mike for not being an inbred goon with this review, you touched on the right aspects for the right amount of time.  Your descriptions of the multiplayer modes have pretty much convinced me to pick up Geist instead of Advanced Wars DS and/or Nintendogs as my next purchase.

Neat

Man, imagine if REGGIE was a possible host in this game.

You'd be unstoppable.

Hell, you'd have quite a fight trying to *get in*.

Yeah, I'd think he'd just get really mad...Then you'd be in trouble!
