Title: Another free game magazine
Post by: S-U-P-E-R on June 28, 2005, 10:34:40 AM
Thanks to this forum and a couple other places, I get more free game mags than I can read. I thought I'd pass this one along;

They have a couple you can download if you want to look a gift horse in the mouth:

It's a pretty new magazine. I know some of these guys and they're pretty cool

Thanks for the info S-U-P-E-R.  I am anxiously awaiting a magazine I've never heard of.

I am still getting my free subscription to GamePro.  It was supposed to end over six months ago.  They won't stop sending me the damn magazine!!

Yeah, my EGM hasn't arrived, but Gamepro is still coming.  How long ago was that?  Certainly more than a year by now.

Thanks, you're super!

Yeah man, those Game Pro people are nuts.  I think my free subscription is a YEAR overdue.  I throw them away after skimming thru the issue once.  SOMEBODY MAKE THEM STOP

Yeah, I'm still getting GamePRO every month.  I once called about it and they said that it's not a mistake and they just keep sending it out to the free subscribers.  So, eh?

HGM isn't bad, but I wouldn't pay for it...  I'd read it if it were in a lobby, but... Granted, I wouldn't pay for much in the way of Video Game Magazines, since all the news is on the net for free...

I'm still getting mine, too.  I typically read it during breakfast because it's something to do and I don't mind if I spill oatmeal on it.

I kind of like HGM.  The best part of the mag is the features about really old games and the how-to's where they tell you how to build your own arcade cabinet or mod your Atari or whatever.  But the reviews stink.  I was looking at the new issue this morning and noticed that for their reviews on Gun and King Kong they didn't even mention that the games were available on GameCube (only Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2 and PC).  I also don't recall them ever reviewing Fire Emblem, but maybe I just have a poor memory.
