Title: play yan yay or nay?
Post by: Darkheart on April 06, 2005, 11:30:56 AM
I've been pretty much undecided with the whole Play Yan hardware thing. I bought the GBA Movie Player when it first came out and some decent compact flash cards only to be really dissapointed. The sound synch was always entirely messed up with the videos that ran over 5 mins. I know that you are allowed to slow down the framerate with the "L" trigger or the sound with the "R" trigger and while it works for a min or so, within another minute, the sound would get completely off. The mp3 playback was kinda cool, but not the mp3s never got really good quality. Anyways I just kind of wondered your opinions on Play Yan or the GBA Movie Player, maybe some of you had the same issues that I had, or maybe some of you think that I am doing the video converting wrong and its my fault. Just curious what you guys thought.

I've never tried the GBA Movie Player, I'm mostly interested in playing games...but if Play Yan does a good job of playing MP3s I might pick it up.

Play Yan doesn't support stereo in video playback. Nuts to that.
