Nintendo gets major head start in Europe

UK retail sources we spoke to have apparently been given no indication when the system will launch or how much it will cost, with many now privately predicting that it will be "June at the earliest" before European gamers can get their hands on it.

Wow....coupled with the DS's E3 presentation, the PSP better have something good or it's gone. (At least for Europe)

With Sony repeatedly releasing behind the DS in every markte they've given nintendo a massive lead WW, this will bode well for increased third party support.

Those holding out for the PSP will have to watch Nintendophiles prance around with their dual-screen handhelds for a few months longer--the PSP's European release has been delayed. Georges Fornay, chief of Sony Computer Entertainment France, has confirmed the unit's delay. The release is being postponed "for several months" so that Sony can adequately provide enough PSPs to satisfy the consumer demand.

bad news for sony considering the successful launch of the DS in Europe - DS release
