If you haven't seen it yet, I'd highly suggest you do. All I can say is that as long as the game plays well, they got my dollar vote cuz man those graphics OWN!

After watching that trailer, it makes me want to play Ikaruga some more. If that games plays good (how could they mess it up) then heck yeah, I'll get it.

DUDE!!!!!!
I'm sorry, I know I'm not supposed to use all capitals, but that video was un-freakin'-believable!!!
Wowwowowowowow!
It's just plain cool.
I've now seen 2 amazing DS videos today; this and the Electro Plankton video.

It's one of those "depth scrollers", i.e. the camera is at roughly a 45° angle behind the player ship... Those traditionally suck, even when they're from japanese developers who understand what shmups are about. Considering how bad Iridion II was I'll wait for reviews and take them with that huge chunk of salt I've got lying around here. The reviews for Iridion II praised the game.

Wow, this game looks awesome. After playing Ashley's boss in WarioWare I wanted a shooter. But how does this use the touch screen, if at all? I wish it used both the screens as one giant horizontal display, but it doesn't look that way from the video.

Yeah i was impressed with what I saw. It will be interesting to see how the features are pushed with what might be a budget title for the DS.

Dont be fooled by the graphics. Iridion II tried the same trick. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Exactly, but with such a low lineup this game might sell. But then again, it might not. Recently shooters have had a hard time selling, even popular ones such as R-Type and Gradius. So for a brand new franchise, good word of mouth would be key.

Bill did you leave out any game that is to be released soon?

I don't see Atari Retro Classics on Bill's list. The Courtroom drama game is also missing, but knowing Bill, he probably just forgot that one.

It's also missing a bucketload of ports and movie licenses. Though if we're talking about games announced in name only I'd vote for Bleach, the show is awesome and has some serious potential as a game (though Mai Hime is still better suited for games. Shoujo fighter, flagnammit!)

If the import review we have up is any indication, Pokemon Dash is garbage so you can cross that off the list.
My most wanted for DS (of known games):
Castlevania Nanostray Animal Crossing Mario Kart
Probably a couple more, and of course any RPG on the system.
