Im not bashing the system, i for one will buy the system, i dont care what people think. I just think by destroying a PSP with a metal bat is absolutely retarded and wasting money........(In the video they reminded me of a cross between japanese nintendo fanboys meet the american television show jackass) how sad

its not that i hate the PSP, its just that i like the DS and Nintendo (who have the best games) and if Sony wants to compete in the handheld department, i have only one thing to say: PSP MUST DIE!

You know, I agree with this CRAZIE GUY. For some reason, we Nintendo people are tolerant of Xbox and PS2 owners because we don't want to stoop to their level of fanboyism and idolotry. But hell, can't we be proud of the console that we like the most? Why can't we say "Screw you POS PS2" and not get flamed. They do it to us, might as well do it to them. These are the Console Wars that have been going on forever (in the world of gaming) so we might as well not take it up the butt. I too think that the PSP SHOULD fail. I think it's a good system and all, but hell, I want more DSes and all that goodness, no damn PSPs. UP WITH HOPE!! DOWN WITH DOPE!!
BTW: I had an interesting theory. I think that the DS is MAYBE going to be Nintendo's last handheld with carts or anything like that. That could be why they made it backwards compatible with the GBA. The next GameBoy (if they come out with one) would be something like a new form of medium and by scrapping the whole backwards compatiblity they could make the handheld MUCH more smaller (without the bulky carts) and less expensive. That's just a theory of mine though.

I thought the video was just to prove that the psp is durable, it certainly looks like it, I expected it to be more fragile, but they actually needed to run over it with a car to break it... I still think that the DS is still more durable, but I really wouldnt like to watch a video of an angry japanese teen destroying it in order to prove my point :S

I don't think they necessarily needed to back over it with a car. They did it for the sake of style, I imagine. I think this is dumb, but I hope PSP squanders and dies.

lol well just to let it be said i know someone from japan who has a psp and loves it, plays ridgeracer and dark chronicles all the time. Thats only one person tho so that doesnt really reflect the whole nations attitude.

No, there's no sensible reason for them to do this. They're simply rich and insane. Durability? The durability of the disc drive motors doesn't have anything to do with how hard it is to break the casing.
