"Nintendo have supposedly acquired the rights to develop and publish a Nintendo DS game based on Eye Shield 21 - a American Football manga. No gameplay specific details have been revealed."

Hey actually this sounds really cool.
Imagine Camelot making an RPG style Football game. This could be awesome.
Training, Trading, all the different players and the positions would make a great game. Plus you could trade your players you have trained with others.
Last, if Camelot could come up with a fun arcade style Football game play then this game could easily become THE FOOTBALL product.
EA who?
(Plus I believe Nintendo will allow you to design your own plays. You just know Nintendo will do that.)

Bill: What would you like to see in a football game?
I am with you I generally hate sports games. (However arcadey sports games are fun.)
The Mario Sports series games are the only ones I have truly ever enjoyed. Mario Golf, and Mario Tennis are both great examples of how Sports Video Games should use the Sport as a basic principle of the game, but go way beyond that to create a more surreal, fun, and unique experience. After all no video game can truly feel like you are playing the sport so why not spice it up?

I have a feeling that a football manga spends more time having the characters question the existence of humanity in long drawn out monologues than actually playing football.
Does anyone know anything about Eye Shield 21? Would a game adaptation of it actually be a football game or would it be some other game with a football related setting?

krikey if Nintendo uses the wireless transmitters at public stands (maybe at bestbuy walmart or gamestop they could have a DS Download Station and you can download new manga). . .
. . . use the GBA slot for storage, so you can store larger stories and such
of course, there aren't many BEst Buys and Walmart]s in japan... i guess it'd be at some kool-ass videogame and electroicsn and man im toaasted
