I'm not sure, but PicoChat may have worldwide chat capabilities with Wi-Fi. I don't think that's been confirmed though. Anyone know for sure?

and yes my decision on whether or not to buy a DS was based solely on how PictoChat funtions
because i like to play games and chat you knoww kill two birds with one stone

also i think some games may have chat functions using the touch screen.
Thats really stupid that you would change your mind about DS just because you cant use pictochat on wi-fi. Plus PSP doesnt ever have a chat on it and it does have any games that use chat while playing.
So think about it before you go buy a PSP.

As of now, there's no server set up FOR Wi-Fi, but I'm like five billion percent sure that there's going to be some sort of available download once one is so that you can use WiFi on PictoChat.

If you want to chat, go to aim.com and download aim. Sorry, the DS pictochat program is a neat little thing but its main function seems to be for when someone is in the relative same area as you (same house, a floor or two up in a building etc) but cannot talk to you in person for some reason. Seems kind of pointless in a way but I guess it could be used for classrooms (I wish DS was around when I was in high school
). Besides that you cant use pictochat and play games at the same time. So far multiplayer games dont seem to have chat built in, which makes sense considering somewhat limited screen space in a portable (yes even with two screens). Post by: chain chomp on December 03, 2004, 05:50:35 AM

Ummm i think that Metroid hunters has wi-fi and i think there a few more that are coming out that use it.....
