Title: Tech TV is Dead, Screen Savers Cast Fired

I know this isnt the right place (Maybe it is) but The hosts that were on Tech TV's shows (Save for Adam and Morrgan) are all fired.

The merger between G4 and Tech TV was never meant to be a merger. It was a corporate take over, in which Comcast bought out Tech TV in order to acquire it's viewership, and then basically gut the station slowly, turn it inside out, and assimilate it as the new G4.     On the 11th, everyone on the cast and crew for The Screen Savers, excluding Sarah and Kevin, were rounded up into a room at 11am, and were fired on the spot, and told to be out of the building by three that afternoon. The Screen Savers is supposedly being completely revamped, and is being combined with the show "Pulse". The folks on and behind Unscrewed with Martin Sargeant were all fired, as well - just two months after having relocated from San Francisco to Los Angeles.     In January, the channel will no longer be called "G4TechTV". It'll be renamed and called simply "G4".     Thanks to the obvious involvement of Satan, it seems XPlay will survive this second revamp of the station. Ironically, I just found out my digital cable provider is moving TechTV to a new programming package - one which my family will not be purchasing.


What the hell were they thinking?

This is bad news, but I figured this would happen, I dropped my subscription to the channel after the merge as I hated most of the G4 shows.

Wrong place, but still this is kinda funny.

A NEW TechTV shall be born with the unwanted heroes of the old organization, and it shall be called TechnologyTelevision!.  Before long, TechnologyTelevision will be able to buy out Comcast itself!  >_O

This program doesn't appear on the Gamecube sorry.

If they get rid of Icons I'll kill them I swear. And why is only X-Play exempt from firings? Nothing against X-Play (Except of course the fact that Morgan has a big ol' man face and the show was way better when it wtas just Adam) but c'mon.

I used to watch the show back when Leo Laporte(sp?) was the main host, but I stopped watching it when he wasn't always on, and the other day I happened to catch it and didn't like it at all.  I don't know who was hosting, but they didn't do a thing for me.

Yeah.  TechTV used to really rock...Unscrewed was kinda stupid to begin with (but funny when they blew up the Xbox controller...haha), but TSS was terrific.  I visited their site not too long ago, only to find that Leo and Pat were missing, and that Kevin and Sarah were the only old people.  Sarah didn't have much of a role, but G4 made the wrong move by kicking out Kevin.

I hate the new cast of The Screen Savers and I was pissed that they canned Call For Help in the first place. They put Chi-Lan and Kevin Firerra(sp?)(the crappy guy from Arena and Pulse and who bashed the gamecube on Pulse) as the hosts for TSS. And Even if Kevin Rose liked Macs more they put him on the Mac segment of TSS which is just like less than 3 minutes of the show is just rediculous. So far X-play, Icon,Unscrewed and Cinematech are the only good shows left that they didnt tamper with.

I think the G4 execs are turning the channel to pure jank and trash.
