i reported on this a while back, i was searching nintendo's patents on the us patent office website, i got shot down for apparently hyping a patent that is actually the n64dd, though the patent could obviously apply to NEWER technology ::grins::

Yea it's already confirmed by gamespot, it was the n64dd.

You guys need to stop looking so deep into this stuff. It's just a renewed 64DD patent. Why they renewed it is totally unimportant to you. It's for some horribly obsecure legal reason that most of us probably wouldn't understand, myself included.

i wonder if the fact that they just recieved this patent has something to do with why everyone seems to be all excitied, but i found the patent back in december, check out my previous entry in Fast Forward.
FYI - patents usually take years from filing to be awarded, (someone else told me so)
and i do NOT mean to slash down your hopes and dreams, i have them as well.
