YES!!!  I lost interest in any thing Pokemon after the first 151 of them.  Now that it's going back to it's roots, I'll be sure to get it and I didn't get either Ruby or Sapphire.

After recently playing LttP and SCII, I think they need to revive the dash attack(charging stab), but it would be a little hard to implement into the gameplay. ***Dream on, Gup!***

I'm still one of the craziest Rare fans.  They made such masterpieces like Conker's Bad Fur Day and Diddy Kong Racing.  I've basically loved all their games even the less popular ones such as Donkey Kong 64 and JetForce Gemini.  So I'm sure they will continue to impress me and I'll definitely need to borrow an Xbox for some Grabbed by the Ghoulies and some Conker: Live and Uncut.

And for those who say Rare betrayed Nintendo, it's definitely the other way around.  I'm still "ticked" with Nintendo's decision to sell them, but I guess it was a good business decision even though they kept the N64 alive in my opinion.

PS2

3 SOUL CALIBUR II Namco $5,951,200 120,104

Xbox

2 SOUL CALIBUR II Namco $6,041,354 122,092

GameCube

1 SOUL CALIBUR II Namco $8,897,202 179,605

Hells yeah!!!  I'm a proud owner of the GCN version.

3) I don't think it'll be in the same disc.  Nintendo wants to spread the GCN-GBA connectivity, so it would be best to put them seperately with a full-length game.  I see it going like this:

Four Swords - it's own game
Tetra's Tracker - sequel to Wind Waker since it uses some of WW's engine(i.e. Tetra)
Pac-Man - in one of Namco's upcoming games(I-Ninja or Pac-Man 2 sounds good)

I would like to see the sequel to Wind Waker be less sea-orientated or atleast have some continents instead of little islands.  If they do stick to the sea-exploration style, atleast let gamers be able to use their telescope or fire cannons while sailing.

So they don't even bother with it, unless you're counting the GameSpy tunneling feature which, by the way, has been available for Xbox and PS2 for a while now.

I own a PS2, but I don't see why it's necessary for gaming.  I've said it before, I'll say it again, my PS2 is for RPGs only.

850k!!!!!!!!  LOL!!!!!!!!  TO A MILLION!!!!!!!!  LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  . . . Sorry.  I see ToS selling at the most 600k, but ofcourse I hope it does better.

No proof bud.  Well actually there is.  Dark Cloud 2(I hate that game, btw) has the same type of graphics engine and it's on the PS2, so there!!!

« on: September 06, 2003, 05:51:25 AM »
You just said it all.  In the world of Square(and Enix), this is the only thing that matters, $$$.  If on GC, it'd be luck to hit a million sales by the end of the GC's life in Japan.  On PS2, a million or two would hit by the first week.

If it's just a port(for PSP probably), I could just jack in my original PSOne version.  A remake(for PS2 probably) would make me my wallet $80 lighter.

...well, Tales of Symphonia probably would have sold better had it been on PS2.

and that's a great point.

Allow me to post these fabulous numbers:

1. GC Tales of Symphonia -- 193,500 / 193,500
2. GBA Sword of Mana -- 153,000 / 153,000
3. PS2 World Soccer Winning Eleven 7 -- 53,400 / 900,000
4. PS2 Winning Post 6 -- 33,900 / 33,900
5. GC Square Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicle -- 20,300 / 328,600
6. GBA Pokemon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire -- 19,400 / 170,247
7. GBA Super Mario Advance 4 -- 17,200 / 334,000
8. GC Kirby's Air Ride -- 16,500 / 278,500
9. PS2 Monster Farm 4 -- 15,600 / 143,400
10. PS2 On-the-spot Powerful Professional Baseball 10 -- 14,900 / 452,100

1. Gameboy Advance SP -- 42,600 / 1,575,400
2. GameCube -- 35,600 / 486,200
3. Playstation 2 -- 35,300 / 1,953,300
4.Game Boy Advance -- 12,100 / 1,031,800
5. Playstation -- 960 / 54,300
6. Xbox -- 650 / 72,500

Amazing, Tales of Symphonia becomes the first game to bring GCN sales past the PS2.  Truly great.  Oh, and Crystal Chronicles still doing well.

« on: September 03, 2003, 12:05:52 PM »
This is a pity.  I'm not much of a fan of GTA, but millions of others are.  I don't see this burning the charts since most people that want already owns it, but it'll probably shadow GCN sales.  "Looks" like another failed Christmas holidays for GameCube.

That video was great, but the game is still. . . "wat eva" in my opinion.  It just feeds off the FF characters and that video proves it.

mouse clicker, you're like referee now.  Doing a good job though.  I just don't appreciate people stereotyping Square fans, that's all I have to say.

I'm Square, but I do like other games they make and dislike some in the FF series.  And I can say the same thing about Nintendo fans, "I hate Nintendo fans.  They are so blind to anything that's not Nintendo or exclusive."  That's kind of true actually(no offense), but that's their opinion.

By the way, Cloud would own Link badly in the sword fight.

As much as I'd hate to admit it, sniff. . .it's true, but I'd still play Legend of Zelda games over Final Fantasy games.
