3rd and a half (Almost had Week 6 but I didn't have the point spread).  Though this is awesome.  I called Kansas City game within 1 point no less.

So I've gone from severe Last Place Week 1 to tied for first Week 8.  Very cool.  Now I just need to maintain this to what the Super Bowl?

Most leagues only last to the end of the regular season, with the playoffs being their own reboot, but I don't know how Neal set this league up.

You must sign and do your part - get Nickelback kicked off of the Thanksgiving game half time show! I've signed a lot of petitions online...this one is the most meaningful by far.

I'll sign on the condition that they're also kicked out of the Grey Cup halftime show as well.

Not sure why, Nickelback are pretty good. They are just one of those groups that it's popular to hate them.

God damn the St. Louis Rams. I was the only contender who picked them, and they had the lead most of the game, ready to give me a two point cushion over anybody else and they had to go and blow it.

*sigh*

I remember when I won more than half the games.

Those were fun times.

Anyhow, don't forget that Thursday Night Football's back! Unless you're ahead of me in the standings, in which please forget away!

I shall start with a bit of ego-stroking: that New England blowout gave me the most points for the week, since we all picked Green Bay to win tomorrow. Yay me!

And now a recap of each game:

Oakland over San Diego: What's happening to the Chargers?

Arizona over Philadelphia: *insert Dream Team joke here*

St. Louis over Cleveland: It was close...

Tennessee over Carolina: Newton couldn't pull this one out.

Jacksonville over Indianapolis: Expected, kind of.

Dallas over Buffalo: Thought it'd be closer than that.

Denver over Kansas City: Tebow Time, anyone?

Houston over Tampa Bay: Houston's currently #1 in the AFC. Will it hold?

New Orleans over Atlanta: When deep in one's own territory, it's best to punt it...

Miami over Washington: So much for Grossman's prediction.

Pittsburgh over Cincinnati: Kind of expected.

Seattle over Baltimore: Just like we all expected, right?

Chicago over Detroit: Thought it'd be closer.

San Francisco over New York: The Niners could wrap up the NFC West in a week or two.

New England over New York: Thought it'd be closer.

Discuss.
This is where I would write something witty or funny if I had any ideas.

I was actually surprised to find I had picked Carolina over Tennessee when I got home.  I was really hoping the Jets where going to win.

I bet so many people that Oakland was going to win against San Diego. A risky bet considering McFadden was still out on the bench. Glad I won that one.

Most surprising game, however, was Chicago vs. Detroit. I expected Chicago to gain an early lead, but I didn't expect them to keep it throughout the entire game. I thought it was going to come down to the will power of their offense as their defense would do a great job of not allowing Detroit to score another touchdown again. Instead, it was a blow out because the Lions offense never showed up.

Best game of the week: Saints vs. Falcons. What a nail biter that one was. Both Brees and Ryan were playing fantastic. It was anyone's game to win and somehow, Saints win again. I can't wait to see the rematch later this season in the SUPERDOME.

Saints vs Falcons was great until the retarded last play by Atlanta. I thought the Giants vs 49ers game was really good, and the Patriots vs Jets game was pretty great as well. Everyone hates the Pats, and most people hate the Jets, so at least everyone got to see one team they hate lose. What's amazing about the Pats is they'll throw someone out on the field who has hardly seen an NFL field before, and then they'll instantly be awesome.

I don't really see the problem there. Atlanta's offense was doing pretty well all night, the Saints' offense can probably go 50 yards or so to get in field goal range with little difficulty, the Falcons only had to advance by a foot, and they have Michael Turner. In their position, going for it seems like a logical move. I'd have done the same, and I think that they'd have gotten the first down four out of five times.

I didn't have a problem with Atlanta going for it on 4th and a foot, I had a problem with them giving the ball to Turner 4 yards behind the line. Either run something to the side or just do a damn QB sneak when you need a foot.

Okay, that's reasonable. Although isn't Turner more of a battering ram RB than a finesse RB? Maybe they just wanted to make sure he had enough time to build up steam.
