Arr! Nintendo's Customer Service be the best there is!
« on: September 19, 2005, 08:53:08 AM »
Shiver me timbers!  My DSs touch screen became worth a bucket of chum a few moon's turns ago.  While it still be protected under the Nintendo Warranty Pact, I sent the DS off to home port for repairs.  Today, the Pirate with the Brown Ship delevered a new DS - with, to m' surprise, a new 1-year warranty pact!  Loyality to Nintendo's Customer Service I say!  Unlike other scurvy dogs who stab you in the back after 90 days, Nintendo stands by their oath!

If I did that, Nintendo Europe would send back a slightly steamed turnip.

I really love Nintendo.

Since I got my new TV, I've wanted to get a pair of GameCube component cables.  But, of course, I don't want to pay the $70+ they go for on eBay.  So, the day after I got my TV, I called Nintendo to order Wii cables and ask about GCN cables.  No dice.  So I call back every couple of days with hopes of them magically finding a set under the couch or something.  No dice.

So, Friday, I sent them an e-mail.  It was a sad, pathetic plea for them to scrounge around their offices and find a pair of cables that wern't really being used and that needed a good home and that I was willing to pay the new price, even for a used pair.

Today, I get a phone call that they'd found me a pair.

Seriously, this kicks ass.

Damn, damn damn...

I got the phone call from the Nintendo rep on the 20th.  Exactly 45 hours and 59 mins later, I had a set of GameCube Component Cables at my door.

This is kick ass customer service.  Arrrr!

His name was Bruce-something-or-other.  Give him my thanks while not hurtning him too badly.

You know, if I worked for Nintendo, I'd feel like I had did something bad if Reggie *wasn't* kicking my ass every day.
