« on: July 18, 2012, 11:44:33 PM »
Got a notice stating that there are new puzzles for Puzzle Swap on 3DS and that these are spot passable!!
Got started with a piece from Kirby 20th anniversary.
Did anyone receive a different puzzle piece?  Be curious on working together on these.

Nintendo Gaming / Pokemon BW 2 Question
« on: June 28, 2012, 05:59:58 PM »
For those who already have the games, can you comment if the World Tournament or even the Battle Subway have added Co-op for the wifi offerings like the battle frontier had in Gen IV games?  Keep seeing all kinds of info on everything else about the game, but I really want to know if there is something for those of us who don't go to school and can play stuff locally...

Nintendo Gaming / What are your top 5 favorite games to play on WiFi?
« on: August 20, 2010, 10:22:58 PM »
Hello fellow NWR people,

This is not neccessarily a match seeking thread directly, but I would like to see what people on this forum do like to play or still like playing over the Nintendo WiFi on the Wii, WiiWare, and Ds/DSIWare.  II am kind of hoping this will help to show people what other people are still wanting to play against.  While this is primarily inquiring about the Nintendo systems, feel free to post other system favorites also. List your top 5 of each one or even a overall Top 5.

As for myself, it breaks down like this.

Wii:
Mario Kart Wii:  Playing in a room of twelve people or running regionals with people in a group as the top contenders is always fun.  Too bad the battle mode was bad.
SSBB: Despite being slow with the occasional lag, the matches can still be rowdy and fun.
Wii Speak: Ok not the most obvious choice, but having live smack talk during a game of MK DS helps flesh out the DS's online offerings.

WiiWare:
Bomberman Blast: This game has a lot of modes and options of customization for all kinds of matches.
Tetris Party:  Six player tetris can be one hectic affair, and one on one can be nail biting as well.
Dr. Mario:  While it doesnt allow for many players at one time, head to head matches rarely have hiccup issues.
Cue Sports: For 5 bucks, this game runs pretty smoothly and has a bit of customization for the different modes and table/ball designs.  Other pool games may have more options, but you get plenty for the amount you pay for.
Excitebike World Rally:  The option to race over customized tracks and different bike colors makes this appealing.

DS:
Pokemon Platinum/Soul Silver:  I enjoy playing against friends on this and trading with people to help with different needs. Doing the Battle Frontier with people as co-op with Voice chat on can be quite enjoyable.
Mario Kart DS:  Ah the first true DS Wifi game I owned.  Playing matches on this over wifi, took on new meaning when me and other friends added wiispeak live smack talk to the shenanigans.  MK WII may be a bit flashier, but i dont miss the greater probabilty of blue shells when playing the DS one.
Tetris DS/Tetris Party Deluxe:  I still prefer the the first Tetris game on DS, but i can not deny that the newer one has better options for gameplay over wifi. The added speak options make it easier to set up stuff as well.
Picross DS:  While not as robust as the local player options, the race to finish two puzzles before the other person can be a frantic one.  Plus sharing homemade puzzles with friends can be fun. Especially some of the cool art work they can make to go with the solved puzzles.
Clubhouse Games:  This game has a lot of variety for gaming options, and has a really nice chat/text/drawing box for communicating with the other players.

Nintendo Gaming / MK WII Theme Night?
« on: August 15, 2010, 11:50:50 PM »
Would anyone be interested in doing a Mario Kart Wii Theme night later this week?  Maybe Friday or Saturday night?  By themes I mean setting up a idea around what characters and on courses. Some examples of themes I have played with other friends are like:

All Warios on Bikes in Battle Mode Coin Runners
Baby Bowsers on Villian themed tracks
Any Villian on a hero styled track

There are some other ones we have done but that is just a few examples.  We can play a few rounds on one theme and then agree to another theme here on the actual game night.  If interested post here or send me pm.  Hope to see you at the starting line!!
