It's EBgames.  They just put out release dates so people will have a general idea of when the game is coming out.  All of those November  games are slated to release "this year," so they're pretty much just guessing.  I say it's more or less accurate, though, which rawks

The DS is HUGE.  Oh yeah, Zelda comes this year too.  I don't want ANYONE complaining about Nintendo anymore EVER.

Edit: Wait....are all these games even slated for a 2005 release?

Even if the dates are a bit off, there's like 15-20 must have titles on that list. Christsakes.

Anyone know whats the difference between Real time conflict shogun and Real time conflict: Shogun Empires? It's probably the same game but why is it listed twice? And i don't think there is anyone who can't get 10 must-have titles out of the pile of goodness.

I don't trust this list.

Bomberman was pushed back for online play.

I highly doubt Lunar Genesis is releasing in July.

The Ultimate seriies was also pushed back for online play.

Metroid Prime was also pushed back, not for online unfortunately.

Kind of a random useless post here, but I just saw an ass-kicking commercial for the DS.  Nintendo is doing an awesome job of advertising this thing, especially considering it was right before Futurama on Adult Swim.  Great timing.

Anyway, it showed a bobbing-head dog thing. Then the Nintendo manequin hand came on and pat it on the head.  "Touching is good."  Nintendo DS. "touchingisgood.com"

****, it made me go visit the website even though I knew what it was about! =o

What? No it wasn't, it's already out in Japan. Unless every other region will have online play except Japan, but that wouldl be a bit unfair.

or maybe they'll re-release it in Japan with online support... but that'd be a slap in the face of those who already bought it.

Eh? So it was verified that they are pushing Bomberman back, as opposed to developing a "Bomberman DS 2 Ultra Network Battle Edition"?

Well, whatever as long as Online Bomberman can be had.

And I am definitely hoping Lunar has a lot of work ahead of it, if those initial screenshots were any indication...

Well upon futher research, I'm not sure. Now, I believe that online play is slated for every version EXCEPT the Japanese version. Not fair, I know, but, they did the same for the European version of Rayman, which had exclusive multiplayer. There could be two Bomberman games, and the original one still has a June release. There could be two versions of the same game, and the online version will be slated for later this year. I dunno. All I know is, DS is getting an online Bomberman.

The DS has the kind up lineup we haven't seen on a Nintendo consoles since the SNES days.
It's got the popular recognized franchises but with new, original ideas thrown in along with entirely original, unique new games - many of which will go on to become popular franchises. If this is what the future of the DS looks like Nintendo has nothing to fear from the PSP and if the Revolution follows in its footsteps, the industry is in for a major shake up. Nintendo is capable of a lot when it actually knows what it's doing.

NO!

Damn it, why do Nintendo release all their games at once, there's too much coming out at the end of the year, Electroplankton will sell three copies if released then, even though i'll still buy it.

Ha, it's funny but I was just looking at the EBGames release list too.  You have your typical duplicate games and sketchy release dates, but look at it this way: any game that is listed for 2005, ESPECIALLY the big ones, will be released this year come hell or high water.  Having played most of the big games at E3, these are the ones that jump out at me:

Advance Wars
Animal Crossing
Castlevania
Electroplankton
Guilty Gear
Lost In Blue
Madden NFL 2006
Mario & Luigi 2
Mario Kart DS
Metroid Prime Pinball
Metroid Prime: Hunters
Nintendogs
Shogun Empires: Real-Time Conflict
Snowboard Kids DS
Sonic Rush
Tony Hawk: American Wasteland
Touch Golf
Trace Memory
Trauma Center: Under the Knife
Viewtiful Joe DS

There's something on that list for everyone - sports, RPGs, Mario, Animal Crossing, Castlevania, Sonic, FPS, pinball, 2-D fighting, RTS, far-out games like Nintendogs and Electroplankton...my God.  This Christmas for DS is going to be ABSURD.  The PSP had better be coming with some sh*t, that's all I gotta say.

Umm...the PSP is coming out with Metal Gear Acid 2 and uhh.......  So yeah, it IS coming out with some ****.

Seriously, the PSP is coming out with MGA2, Daxter, and Infected.  That's all I can think of.  There's another FPS, too, I think.  On the other hand, the DS has over 10 must-haves and caters to every type of gamer this year.  The only downside is that there might be a long drought after this influx, but there should be more than enough games out to fill that up.

I was also thinking; the DS is targeting everyone.  Right now, the only people I see owning a DS, are already Nintendo fans.  Right now, the DS hasn't been around long enough to have spread to the non-gamers.  But, I think by Christma- erm, the holidays, by word of mouth mostly, the DS hype will have spread from gamers just about everyone, and the holidays ares the perfect time for a non-gamer to pick something up.  They're not actually paying for it, so if they hate it it's at no loss to them.  I'm predicting a bigger than expected sales of DS during the holidays- and we were already expecting a lot.

I love the ds and the release list.  I'm having way more fun on it than I am having with my gamecube or xbox at the moment.  However, I am worried that the PSP has the potential to beat the DS in the U.S.

This is why
2 games.  FF VII out September 13 and GTA out October 1.  I personally don't really like either of them so I don't care that they aren't on DS.  However they are big sellers and quite frankly the reason to own a PSP for gaming purchases.

Another thing that surprises me is that movie companies keep saying they will release UMD movies.  Realistically UMD is worthless.  I can't believe that any one UMD has sold 10,000, besides the pack-in.  But companies just keep releasing so they must know something.  In and of itself the UMD support doesn't do much for the PSP.  But, most of the stores I've seen have given the PSP 4x the shelf space of the DS largely because of the extra UMD movies.  Uninformed consumers could see this as the PSP having much more support and make the purchase.

Lastly, I feel the k*i*d image still haunts nintendo.  It never messed up the GBA because it was the only option and the GBA was so cheap.  However the DS at $150 is a big investment.  You don't make that investment without seriously considering the alternatives ala PSP and GBA.  The PSP has more cool factor and the GBA has the value market.   Many parents aren't just going to run out and buy a DS for thier kids.  I believe this puts the DS and the PSP market at teen and above which is Sony's prime zone.

I'm excited about the potential of the DS and I feel it's done very well so far.  But this fight isn't over yet.

FFVII on PSP isn't a game, and any sane person who wants it (whoops, that rules out everyone) will buy the DVD anyway. GTA PSP, we haven't even seen any screenshots yet, I predict either it will be a rushed crappy port, or delayed (or both).
