Nothing in either the Apple podcast app or Spotify yet.

Did it get a patch?

If not, might as well pull the trigger and post your score based on what you played.

I thought Monster Boy solved the collection issue pretty well - any item or room you cannot complete the secret, it just places a ? on the map. Brilliant.

The Eshop lists it as 1 player. Is it multi?  I'd love it if is was, like Enter the Gungeon!

Do the new graphic options make it nicer looking in Docked mode?

Help! Can anyone tell me how me and my son can both select our profiles when we play 2 players online? We both have KQB profiles but want to play them together. We worked out how to do it with Castle Crashes but cannot seem to do it here. Tried every button.

When we add the 2nd controller, it just automatically adds the 2nd player under my own profile.

Seems like an oversight if we cannot do this, as we have our own stats and ranks we woudl like to use our own profiles together.

Any ideas?

TalkBack / Re: No New Switch Lite Model To Fix Drift
« on: October 01, 2019, 06:32:51 PM »
I've had my switch about 18 months and 2 of my 4 joycons have had to go in for a Drift repair - each time costing half the price of a new joycon!

I am VERY careful with my gear and my son is too. They are just straight up bad design.

And here are my 4 Game Cube controllers that have been thrashed through Melee, Brawl, Smash U and now Smash Ultimate and yet they all work PERFECTLY..  Jesus, put THOSE damn sticks on the Switch...

IMPORTANT!

Tip 1: You can play with 4 sideways Joycons, but you need to connect them from the Switch Menu AT THE CHARACTER SELECT SCREEN.

Tip 2: Played with 3 friends on weekend, and we came back to it later in the day and only MY progress was saved - ie my profile. You CAN use other profiles on your Switchand it saves progress!  How? Again, at character select screen, press left button (I think, going from memory here) and you can choose another profile on the switch. Viola, all progress is now saved on that profile, instead of using 2, 3 or 4 'dummy' profiles.  This is essential if you an friends want to keep your progress.

Otherwise, game is good! It's a port, so expect onscreen prompts like PRESS X! to not make any sense on a Joycon with arrow buttons, lol, but you will figure it out.  But heed my advice above!

Hollow Knight. Me and my friend bought and played at same time, after it went on special. We are both old school gamers and have played all the Metroids, Zero Mission is one of our fave games of all time.

We both ADORED Hollow Knight. Just adored it. After the 2nd area, after you beat a certain boss you are effectively free to go where-ever (or however brave enough) you are!

We both had completely different play experiences, me taking the cautious and path and charms, him forging ahead into really distant areas (Yes, Deepnest was one) long before me and we both had such an incredible experience, comparing progress, charms and funny things that we had seen.

We both thought this was easily our #1 game of the year.

After so many linear and guided experiences, Hollow was just fantastic. There is no right way to go. you just go where you want an d if you are brave enough :-)

We both got the true ending and sunk 60 hour into it.

I thought the game was beautiful, the music and imagery in City of Tears is.. oh man, it's just beautiful.

I could say a thousand things more, but I'll say just one - for the PRICE, because the barrier of entry is low *enough* - just try it.  Just dive in and try it.  For me, alongside Celeste, Hollow is one of best games I have played since I got my Switch. Celeste and Hollow are easy 10/10 for me, if you wanted to score it.

TRY IT!!!!!!

What was the total time for all the builds + time playing the games?  If it's close to 12-15 hours then that seems pretty standard for a modern game. I think you have to factor in the build time right?that's part of the experience.

Yeah, tinkered Smash 4 engine, or.. Whole new game?  Gotta be the Smash 4 engine tuned up right?  I mean, it's coming out this year.. how the hell...  can that be a new game...

I tried the demo and could *not* get it to work with 2x single joycons, for 2 players.

The demo forces you to press 'A' immediately putting the game into dual Joycon mode, then, when you add 2x more single joycon players, there is no (obvious) way to remove the original, dual joycon character.

Did you (or are you able to) quickly test how easy it is to set up a 2 player, one joycon per player game?

How do you do the manual mapping on the Switch?

Touch screen or using the controller?

No mention of Eventide Island! That was my favourite area. That is some serious Lord of the Flies action going on there.  My friend has a hilarious story where he slogged away for 2 hours there, killed the Hynox and just as he went to get the Orange ball he got Blood-mooned and was forced to retreat and do it all again  :D

A lot of our funny stories involve epic battles and just when you are down and out, yet victorious, that damn Blood Moon pops up and you are forced to run away.

I got punched by a Talus off a hill and rag-dolled clear down the entire side of a mountain. Ouch!

And unless I missed it, no talk of the dragons? They were awe inspiring! And their eerie music as they fly by. Just magical.

BUt by FAR the best feeling in the game is getting the Master Sword and just eviscerating the Guardians! Tear their legs off, rip them apart! After 50+ hours of running away in absolute terror, to have that payback was just the best thing!

Great episode, thanks so much!
I wish even one host loved TWEWY as much as me, I'd love some discussion on that, but Wind Waker and Prime get their regular dues so that is enough for me.  Great show. You guys rock.

Sad. I love the DS so much. I'll start picking up the occasional game that I missed, I still think the DS was the star of the last generation.

Very excited!
Wonder if the map will be on the PAD, or if it will support off-TV?
If it does use off-TV the pixel density could look really nice.
