TalkBack / Re: Walmart to Sell Used Games
« on: March 22, 2014, 01:08:13 AM »
I've only been buying my name games from gamestop, theres so much less hassle! Before we got a gamestop here about 5 years ago, wal-mart was where I got most of my games. There'd be 5 people in the dept, but neither of them had the keys to open the cases, and the one person in the store that did they could never seem to reach. It'd take me 20 mins sometimes to leave that place just to get ONE game! Also like other have said they seem to be completely uneducated about electronics items all together in their dept at times.

The person that made them musta been the same idiot who made the calendars a couple years back you if you reached gold status. On that we had a month of "Nobember". <_<

I don't get why anyone would waste their coins when theres sites that have these for you to scan already....

I read an article a few weeks about when this game came out in japan.

95 percent purchased the physical copy
5 percent purchased the digital copy

I don't anticipate the number to much different or better here in North America <_<

10 bucks says all it is is just a online Leaderboard <_<

Redemption details likely won't be confirmed until the boxes appear in stores, but it can be assumed that you will likely have to send in some sort of proof of purchase from the box to get the Sidekick mailed to you.

Actually if this is anything like the one they had a few months ago you might not need anything at all. The one before had a little card you went online and typed in a code on the website. What was so odd about it was, based off what people had read from the rules, pretty much EVERYONE won until the prizes were out. It was just the same same Stumpy/tree guy figure covered in felt instead of plastic though.

So it is confirmed you can get this edition in gamestops in North America? I checked their website and I only see the standard edition on there. Usually they're pretty quick to add these things but maybe this is just an exception.

TalkBack / Re: Lord of the Rings Getting Lego Video Game Adaptation

Not the only one, Danny.
I love the Lego games. I'm already looking forward to the Lego Batman 2 game later this year. This Lord of the Rings game will be sweet, I am sure, but if it released in October of this year, that may be too soon after the Batman one. There are already "too many" Lego games on shelves for some consumers.

Unless you live in a different country then America and its not out for awhile later, it comes out in nearly a month....June 19 last I heard.

With all fairness, the Kid Icarus AR Cards are purely optional and doesn't affect the ability to complete the game, unlike the Spirit Camera book, which is required to play through it. I wonder if Gamestop's system has a prompt that comes up when they get games that requires an accessory of some sort, like Guitar Hero on the DS with its guitar grip.

Except I've read about gamestop selling other DS games over the years as used that had some other book, cards, whatever that apparently was required to play/complete game fully, but seemed to have no problem selling the game used without those items.

Assuming this book is used for AR purposes? Its not like someone couldn't go online and find a scanned copy of the book. Over half of the AR cards for Kid Icarus were scanned and online after all.

Well I've already had to send mine in THREE times for various other things, so I'm not too keen on doing that again. The only time I can get the physical ones to scan right on the die is if I take two cards, turn them vertically so the arrows on the bottom are touching and then it seems to work almost instantly. If I switch one for another in the same position then it usually works ok. Its one I'm trying to scan one all by itself is when it doesn't always seem to wanna work.

I'll mess with the lighting later, as I leave for work soon and don't have a lot of time to mess with it. I know I'm not the only one having issues scanning these though because a lot of people on gamefaqs were posting questions asking about scanning the physical cards

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I cannot get ANY of these to scan. It seems like you already have to fight to get it to scan physical cards sometimes. Odd considering I was able to scan the things through a computer screen with no hassle at all for the pokedex app.
