One of the most memorable aspects of PAX East 2010 for the NWR crew was having the honor of hosting our own Live Panel, "Radio Free Nintendo: A Live Nintendo Podcast for Grown-Ups".  This was a huge step for RFN, and Nintendo World Report as a whole.

The panel was held in what PAX christened the Wyvern Theater, a meeting room tucked away by the arcade room and retro checkout room.  Here's a brief tour, along with requisite sarcasm.

As you can see, the theater is quite large, and was pretty intimidating to walk into.  We  didn't fill it up like the Retronauts podcast did the next night, but we had about forty brave souls checking us out by the show's end.  We were nervous and a little freaked out, but the panel was a blast and several of our forumers came up afterwards to express their appreciation.  Thanks for your support guys, you really have no idea how much it means to us!

We'll be posting audio and video of the live panel (note: not the official feed, that will  take a couple of weeks) over the next few days, so bear with us while we get that processed.  But let me say that the feature discussion was thoroughly enjoyable, and the Q&A session was stellar as always.

At this point PAX West 2010 is up in the air for RFN, but if - and that's a big if right now, since there are a lot of unknowns - everything falls into place we'll definitely do it again.  There's nothing like discussing games in front of a live audience.  It's challenging, exhilarating, and just plain fun.

Thanks to the Radio Free Nintendo crew and everybody that came out, and look for the live panel footage soon!

I really would have loved to be at the live show, but being all the way over in sunny California means that the trip wouldn't be worth it. No offense  :P:
Bless you, my child.
Please turn the power OFF.

Oh man... that's my first time seeing what James looks like.  Pretty close to what I expected, but I have to say he looks like a more cheerful guy than he sounds like on RFN. :)

Jon might have to bleep some stuff.

Or he could just upload it directly into the site so Youtube doesn't get angry at you for not bleeping it. It would be funnier that way.

I have so many videos from the show.  Some of them are funny, some of them are interesting, and some of them are boring.  But I'll post them all!

How would you describe the one of your penis--funny, interesting or boring?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

So weird that Boston has those beer laws. I thought the Northeast was a bit more progressive. Probably just an old law no ones bothered to change.

Boston was founded by the Puritans. The fact that so many brewers are even there is a modern miracle.

That video has a surprise ending that'll leave you BREATHLESS.

That makes sense.  Still though, pretty impressive the Puritans still have such influence.  They were able to beer-block the RFN crew.  Just weird.
