I think I would have hated this game, but it was interesting to hear about.

Who is ready for a $650 USD Switch 2?

I liked the backlog discussion. in 2023 and 2024 I slowly worked through my 3DS and DS backlog. Most of it were games I had bought when the 3DS eShop was closing down and some other DS games I had bought at retro game shops.

This included games like The Starship Damrey, Dillon's Rolling Western, Severed, Weapon Shop de Omasse, Senran Kagura Burst, Super Princess Peach, 3D Space tank/X-scape, Chibi Robo Park patrol and more.

My method was basically just start whatever game I was most interested in at the time. Give it at least a good go to really work out if I liked it or not. If I do like it, keep playing and try to finish it. If I dont like it, quit it and move onto whatever games most interests me next.

I think it worked out very well and the backlog has now been cleared.
Soon, I intend to start on the Wii/Wii U backlog of stuff I bought when the eShop was closing.

I wasnt sure it would be possible, but it totally looks like Switch will easily outsell DS. Its crazy how popular it has been.

Switch 2 will have a challenging time following up such success.

Great to hear Gimmick music at the end of this episode. I think it is the best music that was ever made for NES/Famicom.
I have the soundtrack CD that Iam8bit released a few years ago.

I also have the physical copy of the re release on Switch. Its cool to have because famicom cartridges of the game are extremely expensive. The only issue is, I think the game is not actually very good, partly because of its difficulty.

I wonder if that has anything to do with the physical preorders for Neptunia Riders Vs Dogoos getting delayed.

I want to play this, but it is an extremely expensive Switch game. $20 more than Tears of the Kingdom here in Australia. It can wait for a sale.

Loved the Alarmo discussion.

For several years now I have been going to sleep to and waking up to Radio Trivia.
I have every episode downloaded onto a USB drive which is playing on loop in an FM transmitter, which then plays on my retro clock radio.

I have learned in the past that waking up to the same sound/music every day is a bad idea.

Hyrule Warriors was fun and weird. Age of Calamity took its self too seriously trying to be a prequel to one of the best games ever made.
It wasnt fun.

I totally forgot about backlaugust this year. I have been working on my backlog all year. In august I finished the Life is Strange 1 and Before The Storm remasters for Switch.

I also played some of Age of Calamity, but I didnt like it very much.

I have been interested in this since it was shown in a Japanese Direct. I played the demo and I could see it was maybe not the most amazing game ever, but I liked it.
I will buy the game and see how much I end up liking it.

Im interested in the story of the game, but I disliked the game enough that I didnt even get halfway though the demo. That score seems about right.

Also, nice to see some work from Xander

Not ready to hatch yet

I liked the first two games, so this one should be good.
"Could have been a tad longer" isnt a con for me

This Furukawa era of Nintendo is not so bad. We get remakes of the original two games, remakes of Another Code, now a new game in the FDC series. Someone at Nintendo must love this stuff.

Im interested, but I will wait for reviews on this one.

Good to hear Gui's final thoughts on TotK. Interesting to hear he was over prepared for the final boss.
I only out about 55 hours into the the game. When I fought the final boss, I was very much under prepared. I failed the first time. I was ready for the game to be over, so I duplicated a lot of health items to help with that battle and I was able to beat it on the second attempt.

Tears of the Kingdom is a weird one. It can be amazing at times, but I think overall it goes for too long. It is also more difficult than Breath of the Wild.
If I was to replay it now with item duplication patched out, I think I would enjoy it much less.

The bad audio want that bad. Im glad it was left in the show.

I bought it and played some of it. I think the game is extremely cool and I love that it exists. But the puzzles are too much for me. I feel like Im too dumb for this game. I gave up after 6 hours and 28% progress.

I played the Xbox One version of Biomutant. Its kind of an odd RPG, but I liked it. Good to know the Switch version turned out ok
