At first I read this headline as Wii Outselling PlayStation 32-to-1 in Japan.

Gate of Thunder is around 250 blocks.  My Wii isn't set up right now, so I can't tell you the exact number.  It's quite a bit larger than any of the other VC games, but I still have plenty of space left in the internal memory.  It's a pretty good shooter to boot.

Advertising doesn't always have to show the product being advertised to be effective.

Wow, I had no idea there was a sequel in the works.  I guess Treasure ditched their no-sequel policy, eh?  The original rocks.  Hopefully this will live up to it.

The Big N should take a hint from all those crazy animes with super long names.  It could be something like:

Nintendo Super Fun Fun Pocket Game Device Wild Action Mode Double Display Good Time Friend!!!

TalkBack / RE: Mario Kart Preview Disc Available Immediately
« on: September 10, 2003, 05:42:13 AM »
I played a demo disc at Best Buy a few days ago that had playable demos of F-Zero GX, 1080 Avalanche, Viewtiful Joe, Soul Calibur II, and possibly one or two others.  No Metal Gear or Pikmin 2 though.  That could be the disc they're talking about.

As far as the Players Choice titles, Nintendo should make every effort to have more of them, and all priced at $20.  They're pricing games the same as they were for N64, even though they're cheaper to produce now.  As it stands, people looking to get a console with a lot of inexpensive games are going to go for a PS2 or Xbox.

TalkBack / RE: THQ to Distribute Rare GBA Titles

Rare's release dates do seem to be based on a different calendar than the rest of us use.  Microshaft seems to think that will change now they own Rare, but I doubt it.

Is NOA for sure only shipping the black Game Boy Player?  That would not be cool, although I guess black goes with anything.  Speaking of console colors, maybe the next one should be neon yellow, so it's impossible to not notice.  Better yet, they can rig it up with fiber optics so it's strobing neon yellow.  That would draw some much needed attention to the Nintendo camp.

Amazing!  An original Sonic Team game for Gamecube!  Haven't seen anything original from Sonic Team in a while.  Hopefully they haven't lost their touch for making innovative, original games.

TalkBack / Lieberman Talks Videogame Violence... Again
« on: April 10, 2003, 01:28:47 PM »
Maybe our nation's leaders should be more concerned with real violence.  I'd say that seeing our president use violence as a justification for getting what he wants is more of an influence than a made up video game world.  The people who play games like GTA3 know that they are playing a game, not acting out reality.  The president however is real, and he is supposed to be a role model.  Think about it.
