How so?

You miss took me. What I meant was that it actually looks like every other RPG out there.

They just all have the same style; cel-shaded or not. And unless your fans of manga or anime, then you aren't going to notice the difference, your going to notice the similarities. Maybe I came off as a little harsh, but it's more frustration than anything.

Being a fan of anime / manga I just can't move off the fact that the main character is just a Trunks rip off.

It would bother me playing the game looking like Trunks and I don't know why . . . >.<!

After seeing that trailer only one thing came to mind...."For the love of all things holy that game must release worldwide"
They gave a war, nobody came, imagine all the fuss. They'd have to send themselves instead of...sending us. Yeah (People of the Generation - by Scatman John)

for once i don't wanna play as the main character that wields a sword, gimmie the chick with da guns!  Sure guns don't seem to fit the setting but who cares it's d@mn cool looking to do combo attacks with 2 pistols.

Namco if your listening, the U.S. Wants.....no NEEDS this game, oh and don't pull any stupid stuff and release it on the PSP.

RPGs need less swords and sorcery and more plasgun.

How many angry bald space marines are there in RPGs?

Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Ok, I can understand the concerns that this is just like EVERY other RPG, but there aren't many on the DS. So with that said, I welcome this game, and it's pretty graphics.

Yeah, that's what I did, after about 15 minutes or so it was half way through.

There were comments about a great atmosphere on that page but I didn't notice any of that. There was loads of drawn cutscenes that I bet are all part of the intro if ToS is anything to go by. Nice that an RPG has guns for once but I bet they're just the evil empire's stuff to conquer the world with. Oh and they're driven by something that's made of people.

Time for an update!

The game has received a 35/40 (9/9/9/8) from Famitsu, which makes it the 2nd highest-rated Tales game in Famitsu behind Tales of the Abyss (36/40)...Here's to hoping Namco actually localizes the good Tales DS game! =(

Oh, and here's the full theme song for those who care...It's quite possibly the most epic game vocal song I've ever heard!
