Bad Grammer?

(1/2) > >>

yeg0:
Today, I'm not thinking... Is that how you spell grammer?

Anywhoo... to the point. On the GBA SP Box... I noticed they said "Built-in lighted screen" Is it just me or does that sound wrong? Shouldn't it be "Built-in lit screen"?
I know I am picking out tiny, insignifigant details, but it just caught my attention (I left my GBA SP box on my desk to celebrate my purchase... and I don't have room for it in the "Shrine" of boxes yet)

Gamer1982:
Nope, it's not bad grammar, it's built in...and it's lighted...

Joshums:
I believe "lighted screen" in this case means that the screen is fixed with a light or lighting device.  If you were to say "lit screen" it would refer to the screen when the light was on.  You were on the right track, and I commend you for your effort.  I would encourage you to look at all your game boxes and instruction manuals for spelling and/or grammar errors to share with us.  They are always hilarious.

Why is everything bold here?

Khushrenada:
Broken forum code from the switch of the PGC forums to NWR Forums. The signature of the OP doesn't have a / at the front of the last b since the old code didn't quite require that. You could just bold something within brackets like that. Instead the bolded font continues on from the signature to any other text remaining in the thread. Same thing happens with italics sometimes.

Yes, sir. Some folks may say these forums are a bit of a fixer-upper but I say they've got character and charm.
