Title: "Ender's Game: Battlechool" MMO [for Wii]
Post by: eljefe on April 30, 2006, 06:46:26 PM
I'm working on a control scheme for the various elements of the game. The meat-and-potatoes of it would, of course, be the battleroom mechanics (think 3D laser-tag in zero-G chamber, if you haven't read the book). I'm still deciding whether I'd want it in 1st or 3rd-person, or whether that would matter.

before I post..

any ideas? Would you buy such a game?

Yes, and I hate you for using such a misleading title.

It would have to havce an amazing control scheme to work. Lot's of bounding off walls, grabbing and swinging around obstacles, etc. You'd probably have to lose the whole martialling people in weird configurations aspect.

Dude, change the title before anyone else gets as pissed as I am.

haha, sorry for the title

zakkiel: that's what I'm struggling with. It HAS to be perfect or the beauty of the concept is ruined. Collision detection has to be on point as well.

I think I'll re-read that part of the book, sleep on it, and see what I can post tommorow.

What's Battleshool? An RTS with Jewish kids? Or would that be Battleshul?
