Notes:

- All three games are readily accessible in North America.
- River City Ransom is on Virtual Console worldwide.
- We are going to three nominees to give each game a better chance to win (less fractured voting).

I'm putting my vote behind Mario Tennis: Power tour, since it's pretty timely for me. I just finished listening to ep 19 of RFN and it judging by that it seems like the 10/10 review that NWR/PGC gave it caused some controversy. It would be interesting to see how it holds up.

but i also want to find out why the main character of Custom Robo is so damn angry though.

Custom Robo Arena is my pick. It's the biggest unknown and therefore the most interesting of that trio.

River City Ransom is my pick. It's not my ideal choice for a RetroActive given how simple it is (and how you could simply enjoy the same game much more pleasantly with Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), but it's the only one on this list I could actually conceivably play since it's on the VC.

None of these games really excite me. I love beat 'em ups, but never really cared for the River City Ransom style. I haven't played the original, but I have played the games heavily influenced by it. And I don't really like having to grind and build levels just to make the game fun.

I've honestly know basically nothing about Custom Robo and for whatever reason the games have never interested me.

I mentioned the Mario Tennis games in the nomination thread so I voted for that game. But kinda like Custom Robo, I've never had much interest in it.

I may buy Mario Tennis if it wins. I'll probably get River City Ranson on VC if it wins since that's so cheap. But I'm not sure about Custom Robo.

I played a good 2-3 hours of River City Ransom and thought it was way ahead of its time, but also limited by its time. It's incredibly difficult to navigate the 'open world' and I have no clue where to go, so this would be a great game to update totally for this modern age. I didn't vote for that.

I played Custom Robo and didn't think it's worthy of a podcast because its so strait forward.

So my vote goes to Mario Tennis, since I never played those games before and heard they are great

I hate Mario Tennis: Power Tour. It was such a massive disappointment after the greatness of the Game Boy Color version.

I voted for Custom Robo Arena because I love that game. Pokémon-ish story with customizable robot action. One of my favorite DS games.

It's going to be close because there is no clear favorite. The only one I'd consider going back to play is Mario Tennis, because I never played it and loved my time with Mario Golf GBA last year.

My friend got really into Custom Robo DS last year, but I don't think it's for me, and I loved River City Ransom when I played it when I was younger, but I don't have any motivation to back and check it out again.

I chose River City Ransom. Love beat-em ups and I've never gotten the opportunity to try this game, and the leveling-up elements intruige me.

I haven't felt much deviation between most of the Mario Tennis games i've played to make it worth revisiting, and my interest in Custom Robo is minimal.

I was a huge fan of the GCN custom robo. The DS one I picked up back when it came out. I put a few hours into it but lost interest. I would love to revisit it and here it discussed. I'm hoping for a 3DS version someday.

Me two. I'm also a HUGE fan the Gamecube game. I bought the DS game, and to me it lacked in the story portion. the game play was the same and I love that it uses the same soundeffect found in the GC. what sold me was online play, but i hardly found anyone online

My save in CRA is at the final boss. I rage-quit when I couldn't defeat the final form after dozens of tries and I think my last save was before I fought his previous form.

River City Ransom is getting my vote as it will be my first time playing a beat-um-up game... and it gives me a reason to get Wii Points. Was going to vote for Custom Robo, but that would require me to stop playing Radiant Historia xD

Like I said before I wasn't sure if I was going to get River City Ransom if I won. But I decided to do so because there are a handful of VC/WiiWare games I've been meaning to buy as well. So I also got Castlevania Rondo of Blood, Contra Rebirth and the second LostWinds game on top of RCR. Stacking more games on my backlog... I was going to have to add points anyway.
