"V-Jump magazine has revealed one of Square Enix's new titles for the Tokyo Game Show, being Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the Game Boy Advance! Is anyone else excited to see this one?"

Link!

It seems we will be getting our own version of Kingdom Hearts!  Hopefully they will put a lot of effort into it.  I'm sure everyone is surprised that they didn't wait to put it out on the PSP.  (Predicts Square fans rushing out to buy GBA:SPs )

Nintendo Gaming / Virtua Fighter Quest: TGS a no go...
« on: September 24, 2003, 06:42:33 PM »
It seems that Sega won't be revealing VFQ at the TGS this year...Will they ever show it!?  Oh well, I guess it just means a bigger E3 for Ninty next year..

It's also interesting to hear that Miyamoto may have given some input on the title...This could be a shocker come next E3

Nintendo Gaming / Yay more rumors!
« on: September 08, 2003, 01:18:59 PM »
Yes I know everyone here despises rumors, but I'm posting them so everyone can discuss the likelyhood of any of them happening...Thanks to Gamecubeland.com

~An enhanced port of Final Fantasy VII from Square-Enix is to be revealed at this year's Tokyo Games Show for Gamecube (TGS = September 26th - September 28th). Beter include something new guys, I think we're all sick of remakes.

Just like in the topic below this, here's the classic FFVII remake rumor.  It's wishful thinking so I will keep my fingers crossed...

~Miyamoto is currently working on another game with Hideo Kojima other than Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, supposedly a Nintendo franchise.

Hmmmm...No idea what it could be, but Dyack did say that the relationship between Ninty and Konami wasn't a one-shot deal...Could be very well true...

~Shinji Mikami is working on a sequel to a cult classic Nintendo franchise. What is it? Besides Kid Icarus, there are no other rumblings at the moment.

Heard this one not too long ago as well.  Kid Icarus would be a fine choice, mainly because I couldn't think of another Ninty franchise he could work on...unless he wants to do another Ice Climbers game

~Too Human will be released next year (every year the same thing right?), though other reports say it's a N5 launch title. With Dennis Dyack not talking, I doubt we'll know oficially until at least E3 2k4.

I don't want to believe this.  I really want the game to be a launch title for Ninty's next system.

~Mario 128 will undergo a name change, and will be a pseudo-3d sidescrolling adventure, with some full 3d bits (think Wario World). Sources put it at release around Christmas in Japan (could Nintendo be at TGS showing it off this year? It's be a first.)

Oh boy, more 2d Mario rumors.  I personally don't care if the game is 2d-like, I just want the game to be more like Super Mario World.

~Game Zero, by Zoonami is going to be an MMORPG for N5, and will be one of the largest virtual universes ever created. Somehow I doubt this, but then again, I also doubted Metroid Prime and Wind Waker, and I've eaten those words.

Will this game ever be revealed?  The MMORPG part would explain why nothing has been showed on it yet.  If this is true I hope the fee is minimal, if not free...

~Speaking of Metroid Prime, MP2 supposedly will include LAN based multiplayer, possibley an online option as well. Seems odd to me.

I would much rather have a co-op mode, but if this is so, I want bots!

Discuss!

edit: I found some interesting tidbits on Killer 7 at The Magic Box

You can choose your destination from a list of proposed locations. When you encounter enemy on your way, the game changes to the attack mode in first person perspective, you can use special attack or weapon to attack the enemy, there are weapons that explode the enemy in one hit.

So there you go for those worried about the game being a lightgun game.  You play in third person until you fight enemies...Sounds interesting

Nintendo Gaming / Top Gear Rally GBA developer Tantalus enveloped
« on: August 30, 2003, 01:43:50 PM »
It seems that GBA, XBox, and PS2 developer Tantalus has awed Ninty enough to be bought.  Though Top Gear Rally is a really neat looking game, I don't really see why Ninty has taken them in.  Hopefully more details will be unveiled soon...

Nintendo Gaming / Thornado
« on: August 16, 2003, 06:47:28 AM »
Anyone remember this Factor 5 title?  It was supposedly canned, but it may be making a comeback!  Check here: Link  Click on the triangle below the Star Wars logo.  You will come to a page with the main character for Thornado.  Highlight the pic and it will say "coming soon."  Hopefully this means the game is still in development and not just a lack of(a super lack of!) updating on Factor 5's part.

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo to switch packaging for GBA games...
« on: August 14, 2003, 11:52:29 AM »
It seems that Ninty has decided to make the switch to DVD case packaging for their GBA games.  It's not for sure if this is to cut costs or just for convenience.  I personally think a DVD case is a tad big for GB games, but it is convenient.  The casing should appear on U.S. and European shelves come this winter.

NOA_Bill: And then there's that Kid Ic... HAH! Just kidding!

Nintendo Gaming / Pokemon RPG finally official*
« on: May 22, 2003, 03:21:40 PM »
*that is, if Dengeki didn't decide to pull some lame prank on everyone

Dengeki Cube has an interview with the pres of Creatures, Inc., Tsunekazu Ishihara.  Ishihara told Dengeki that they are indeed working on an actually GC RPG.  Well, that's the report.  Let's just pray that this doesn't follow that Mario RPG hoax

Nintendo Gaming / F-Zero GX not a typo
« on: May 06, 2003, 11:28:07 AM »
IGN has the box art, though I'm not too pleased at having just Captain Falcon on the front...TWICE.  Hopefully this is just a mockup.  So what could GX stand for?

Let's keep the F-Zero discussion in this thread for now.  Thanks!

Nintendo Gaming / RUMOR: Super Mario RPG 3
« on: May 04, 2003, 06:41:51 AM »
First of all, before I show the link, everyone must realize that this may be fake.  According to the source, this new game is in development by Square-Enix and is in the same isometric view as the original Super Mario RPG that was the last game Square developed before moving in with Sony...With that being said, here are the potential first pics of the game, or perhaps one of the most rotten hoaxes of all time(for me )

Nintendo Gaming / A deeper meaning to a name?
« on: April 05, 2003, 05:29:03 PM »
The name?....Tetra.  Tetra is a prefix which stands for "Four."  Looking through all the facets of the game, I cannot find a reasonable explaination to Tetra's name being Tetra.  Is there a deeper meaning to this name usage or am I searching in too deep?
