Is there any way to stop this nonsense from happening? It just opens then I can't go to the previous page; I have to close the whole tab.

You'll lose the ability to see embedded YouTube videos, but at least you'll be able to use the site, and not have to deal with that pop-up nonsense anymore.

I didn't know what that was, so I googled it. They apparently do have an iOS app.
